What's your favorite bunny dessert?

Post » Tue Apr 02, 2013 3:10 am

My favorite is the sponge cake with buttercream, mostly in these variations: http://ramblerz.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/coffee-cake-1.jpg , http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7074/7121235247_905832357a_b.jpg, http://www.msflourgirl.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/recipe-pix-1272-1024x954.jpg. Usually bought, rarely home made. What is your fav dessert and how often do you indulge yourself?
Thanks for posting in an epic thread :hehe:

http://www.makutuote.fi/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/sacherkakku.jpg is good. But I'll take anything with ridiculous amounts of chocolate. :twirl:

Have you eaten the real Sacher in Vienna, or just copies?

I don't think I really have a favorite dessert. I enjoy trying all kinds of new desserts whenever I come across them. I do tend to favor ones with peanut butter and hot fudge involved(alone or together), but I'll generally give any dessert at least one shot.

Probably just copies, as I didn't know there was more than one type.

Don't really have a favorite dessert to be honest since I try to watch what I eat, mostly due to family history/health concerns than being overweight. I'll mostly eat some of that Breyer's Oreo Ice Cream vanilla flavor stuff.

One thing I will do is take strawberries, slice them up, and then put them in a container with sugar and a California Fairbanks Port red wine to let them steep/soak for a day. After that, i'll remove the liquid from the strawberries and reduce it by 1/2 to 1/3 of its contents, then finally add the Strawberries to cook the alcohol out of them as well. Makes a nice Strawberry ice cream topping. It also goes excellently with a warmed up fudge brownie that's topped with a bit of the oreo vanilla ice cream.

There's the real Sacher cake which is the only one entitled to the name (at least in EU). I recall that the recipe to it is secret and, well, being made in Vienna already gives it a finer touch than factory-produced variants.

Bunny Directive #276: making post number 15 is forbidden unless aforementioned post is made by a bunny. Failure to adhere to this directive will result in confinement to the Big Black Pot of Stew.

In unrelated news, I could really go for some black forest gateau right now. The proper type made with kirsch.

Per the Bunny Collective, the only valid dessert option is now Carrot Cake.

I don't really like eating bunnies for dessert, as I think they're better off as dinner. I don't really like desserts in general, but I do love me some risalamande.
