What is on your mod wishlist..?

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 4:38 pm

I know it's early days yet, but it can't hurt to dream..

I would quite like a custom music mod (and custom title screen option) similar to the ones for F3/Oblivion, i am not suggesting Skrim's are bad (on the contrary) i just like messing with these things.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PK7kmRNfi4s (my candidate for menu/title music)
As i mentioned in another thread i would love a Severance BOD inspired combat mod (limb removal & all) to make the melee combat that much more visceral/risky, but with some bigger visual feedback (but not overused as in F3/New Vegas etc)
Dynamic fire/spell effects on wood,grass/general foliage etc would be great too.. ie: enemies caught in burning grass etc would also take damage..

I have plenty more ideas, but will stop here..

What would you like to see..?

1st person horse riding
Hm. I think I might like that idea. Never been a fan of horseriding in games, it always feels so awkward to control movement. But maybe sometimes it's partly because of the perspective that throws me off.

Anyway....most personal preferences that require little more than changing numbers/settings I'll mod in myself, if needed.

So mostly I'll be hoping for nice clothing, texture, and other graphical mods. And later, new content.

I'm a modder and I use mods created by others, I'm always pleased that Bethesda has chosen to support the modding community, but do we have to keep creating new threads asking for a mod wish list?, there are several already in circulation.

Spell making
Join-able religions that have unique spells/abilities (ala Runequest)
Hell, if it's a wish list I might as well go the whole hog and ask for a full conversion for Runequest!

Smaller 'skill increased' and such if Bethesda hasn't made the PC version's font small enough.

1.) Spellmaking

2.) Scabbards for offhand weapons when dual-wielding, rather than one just vanishing into thin air.

3.) Ability to have kids with your wife

Aside from those, I'm REALLY hoping Kyoma works his magic with another ingame journal mod, and an animation mod like actors in charge would be delightful.

General Discussion seems to be like this, has been since about mid way through this year, when we got a huge influx of new members...

I'm guessing you're more like me, and spend most of your time here in the modding forums?
Can't wait till they get put up.

This.
And a mod that removes 3rd person/slow-mo finishers. I can handle those for a little while, but after 2-3 weeks it'll likely get really annoying.

First things I'd like to change are the interface and that 3D map (to a 2D map).
Next things will probably be about balancing ... different perks for example.

First tiny tweak I can already see I'm going to make is to shunt oakflesh and the like into restoration and move wards from restoration to alteration.

Restoration has always been about improving and reinforcing the body, alteration is more about moving, stopping and changing matter with your mind (telekinesis is now alteration). Just a flavour thing... oakflesh reinforces the body, wards stop attacks in transit.

Not really. Oblivion had it's own flaws as well...

- Awful level scaling
- Overly generic gameworld / dungeons
- Poor main questline
- Bad voice acting
- Bad character models
