Vikings? Leather and Fur would be the materials of choice, perhaps the Scaled Armor. Most Vikings I would assume would not wear metal armor, as it would cause them to drown if they fell overboard. Not sure if the Vikings used different armor on a boat than when they attacked on land.

I would choose all Scaled armor. I think that's pretty close. The Iron and Steel helms also look pretty viking.

EDIT: Also Ancient Nord armor...

They would wear leather or fur with an iron helmet. Throwing axes, spears and rocks would be popular weapons, but you have to get a mod for that.

Vikings did use metal armor, they were excellent smiths. However it would have been chain mail and few could have afforded it. RP accordingly. There is a http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19372- however, the female model is based on a dress and looks kind of bizarre. The Vikings also used lamellar armor. Closest to that would be the Dawnguard armor. I really like that set.

Helmets- the steel helmets are closest to authentic.

Probably not. Most vikings didn't even wear armor, altough many of those who went plundering did (they didn't wear armor at Stamford Bridge and subsequently lost the battle but they wore armor at Fulford and won).

I'd go for no armor with the Steel or wolf helmet, a guard, iron/banded iron, hide or steel shield and a war axe. you could also use the iron battle axe. The rich ones were able to afford chainmail and swords so if your character can afford it then guard armor and an iron sword looks the part.

They weren't wearing their armor at Stamford Bridge because they weren't expecting a fight.

The steel helmets need to be resized.
