whats up with Shadow Warrior : V

Okay guys, I have bought Skyrim the day it came out but only just created this account because of an issue I have with the stealth perk 'Shadow Warrior'. Supposedly, this skill allows you to restealth momentarily while in combat in order to get a sneak attack, and for the most part, it works. After playing my rogue that has the perk after several months of inactivity, I remembered why I quit playing him. Shadow Warrior is still broken and simply does not work sometimes. First of all, it doesn't work against dragons at all, ever. I fought 3 different dragons and did not successfully use my perk once. Most of the time, it works against regular enemies, but then again every once in awhile it fails to work against them as well.

So, a year after the game is released...

WTF?

edited to mention I have all of the most recent updates and playing on Xbox360.

Trust me it works, you have to time it just right and be at the right distance, if you are not at the right distance and right moment it will fail, this is intentional, it's not a bug. Despite what popular belief holds, it takes skill to use shadow master.

Amen.

And the only time when Shadow Warrior is actually bugged, is when you use that Nocturnal spell, from Nightengales, when you're able to enter stealth for 2 min if you're sneaking. If you enter sneak, both Shadow Warrior and Nocturnal will activate, but SW gets you out of stealth after one second, and it will kick you out of Nocturnal skill as well. But that is the only bug with SW, other things are just as Big Iron explained.

Do you have any spell absorption effects on you ? If so, that is causing shadow warrior to bug out sometimes.

Thank you guys for responding! I'm gonna give you both the benefit of the doubt because I want to believe... and I just started playing again so it would make sense that I'd be rusty. I'll try again tomorrow when I have some more time. My character is wearing Cicero's Hat and his robes and the dark brotherhood gloves and feet so I'm pretty sure there is no spell absorption, Cold Steel.
