So... When can we expect the 'dlc loading error' bug to be p

I'm being completely serious here. the statement of 'in the next few weeks' isn't very informative. When exactly is 'the next few weeks'? Next week? 9 weeks from now? What? I got this game breaking bug this afternoon after seeing my first set of combat armor and C4 being sold by a vendor/merchant. I know most of you are thinking, big whoop right? Just one more number added to the ever growing pile of pissed off New Vegas players. Anyways, if any community members or in some extremely rare and fasmatastical case a Dev or admin has any information as to when the Consoles will receive the update it would be greatly appreciated. Honestly I am not a patient person and if the patch takes too long to release I will certainly lose interest in the game and/or return the game seeing as its 'defective'. Don't get me wrong however, I love this game! It's very entertaining and takes more the 8 hours to beat (like seriously, Fable 3 and The Force Unleashed II were fail as far as game play time went). Well... Thats all I have to say and all I wanted to ask for at the time. If you actually read this and didn't just dismiss it after the first sentence, then I thank you. /end rant

The general consensus is in a week or 2. They already have the fix its going through the microsoft approval process.

Thanks for the update. Well I still have R.U.S.E... Guess I can play that until then, or make another NV character and go on a bloody, murderous rampage. lol

Alot of people did that in retaliation of the bug. Just went around killing everyone. Me I just made a new character and explored the map. Got a few achievements while I waited and didn't do the missions that are known to cause errors. Actually I think I've only finished good springs and nothing else. Also 1 side quest I found when wandering around the map. 10 hours in and I'm still no where near finding even half of the locations.

I may do that heh. I usually don't bother with achievements as they aren't really important to me, but its a possibility

We posted this here -- we're looking at having a fix in the coming weeks on 360 -- it has to go through testing and certification first.

i have no idea why gstaff wouldn't have mentioned this, but i just saw the patch notes out on steam, which i would assume means that the patch is already live for PC. gonna start a thread with the notes in it so other people see.

the 360? what about the PS3 users? how long do WE have to wait for a fix the MANY problems that should not even be there to begin with? this is total [censored]. contacting the Better Business Bureau is sounding better and better, i have to to tell you.

Well I guess the answers I received are better than nothing, thanks all. Oh and Ronin, if you want to know whats going on for the PS3 then go post in that forum... Not the 360 section. I'm sure both patches will be out at a similar time.

Everytime i try to go into the strip north gate the game freezes, so i can't go to the tops and 38 casino so i can't complete the main quest. I have even tried to take the monorail at cam McCaren and it works but when i try to come out of the tops and 38 the game freezes

Notice how the "plural" of weeks is used.

It gets even worse. My auto save in the armory is the only save i can continue from, because the other save loads my guy right before dieing of radiation 1 min later lol. So i thought i could just make a new file but noooo in order to do that the new file has to overwrite the autosave which totally sux. Im just wondering if i go into the memory section in my 360 and copy the fallout NV autosave file. Then when i make a new file and the auto save gets deleted can i bring it back with the autosave that i copied, does anyone think that will work??

Shouldn't the game have gone through testing and certification first?

Pretty much agree with really happy gamer here, will the old saves be usable once the game is patched or do we have to start over?

As I mentioned in another thread, thinking of waiting to play much more until the patch is released. But the murderous rampage post gave me an idea... along with a future patch sometime, add in some free DLC that would include a hidden developers' studio added to the game (like what Sacred 2 had). Difference being, it would include a lot of good, free loot and allow you to kill the occupants for positive karma. :gun: Maybe have a few funny optional conversations, and some extra terminals to hack. Doubt it would happen, but would be a nice, fairly easy way to apologize and regain some goodwill.

Ive been reading the emails the admins have been saying to other frustrated dlc victims, and its not looking good there all saying if your save has the dlc bug you probly wont be able to continue from that save even after the patch is released. wow what a rip off there goes all the hours i pissed away on this game :banghead:

Seriously... If thats the case I may return the game even after its patched. I don't want to play through 13 and a half boring (boring because I've already done these parts...) hours to get back to where I was.

Consider yourself very lucky. I was playing as much as I could from the day after release (had night class the day of and UPS took its sweet time in delivering it...) and it broke like the Friday or Saturday after with ~24 hours played time. Haven't been able to play since.

On the other hand, it's been so long and I've had so little hope of the fix finally coming that I've managed to bury my yearning to play so that it's just one of those subtle thoughts always in the back of your head and always on your mind but that you don't need to satisfy right this minute or anything. If that makes any sense.
