When did the AI get so smart?

So I was assassinating a guy in dragonsreach for the dark brotherhood today. I crouched in a room, drank an invisibility potion and fired my arrow at him. No one saw me. I waited a few seconds and walked out of my hiding place to look at the body. Then a guard ran over to where I was hiding, looked at me, and started to attack. Like at person with a brain would. What would usually happen is everyone would just scream "BY THE GODS THIS CANT BE HAPPENING!" and ignore the guy in assassin clothing who his putting away his bow and arrow. I like that people are reacting more realistically now.

People in Tamriel don't like to discriminate.

Well, unless someone is/is not an elf.

Smart IA?

Once, I heard an AI saying that iron must be tempered at the correct temperature for precisely thirty minutes to avoid brittleness.

I thought that was a rather smart thing to say.

This kind of thing just happened to me, too. Next time I'm not going to go directly to the body after a successful assassination. I'm going to go to the nearest cafe, have an espresso, and then come back to examine the body like a random bystander.
