So, when's the next patch?

Has there been any word from anyone at Bethesda on when we can expect yet another patch? It's pretty embarrassing, not to mention ridiculous. I'm sorry but it's always the same issues with every game from Bethesda. Skyrim seemingly becoming the worst offender. I know these games are complicated worlds to make and maintain but people expect a product that works as it's intended.

Before 1.02, I had some issues. The frame rate was atrocious, textures sometimes didn't load in all the way (rare occurrence), and my bookshelf in Whiterun's bottom shelf no longer works. This is after my save file went over 7MB.

Post-patch 1.02, the game freezes every twenty/thirty minutes without exaggerating. Skyrim's so cold, it literally freezes your game. Oh. Snap. As for the frame rate, I haven't had the chance to play longer to actually see if it has been any better. I'll say this, it did seem a tiny bit smoother while I was in town. I can't honestly say that the quality in dynamic lightning, textures, etc. has been reduced but it may have. I don't see an issue in talking about it so they can look into for the next patch. Just from reading around the forum, it'd be nice if more people made more comparisons.

All and all, these issues have not been fun and I look forward to news on when the next patch will be. One could only hope that it will be soon and actually fixes something.

Well the current patch has been out for all of a day so no there's no official word yet on when another patch will be available. Have you tried re-installing the game data or starting a new game to see if it runs any better?

I am going to re-install it soon, I think. If it does continue to freeze constantly that is. As for starting a new game, not going to happen. I'm sure the game will run decently enough, as it did when I first started playing. Yet who's to say it isn't going to get like it is now once you've put in the same amount of time? I'd rather not try that myself but kudos to whoever wants to try.
