when will jarl ulfric be named high king?

Post » Fri Mar 29, 2013 2:07 am

As a diehard stormcloak (hail talos!) I've put a lot of time into seeing my jarl be named high king only to find out this doesent happen... when if ever does ulfric become high king so we can bring it to those "witch elves" and take back the impire once and for all?

Never, the whole civil war will become a moot point and somehow skyrim will become part of the empire again and Ulfric will probably just end up forgotten or Beth could actually pick a side, but there is still a chance that they'll pick the empire over the stormcloaks.

Assuming a Stormcloak victory, as soon as the Moot is ready to meet. However, he is by all intents and purposes the High King when the war is over, even before the Moot. He just lacks the title, for a time.

There is still a good chance that later on someone has a change of mind and decides to run against Ulfric for the title High King.

But who could even hope to compete with him (in a Stormcloak victory scenario)?

With Ulfric's army in all the cities, I wouldn't count on it. Falk Firebeard puts it like this "But now, Skyrim is at Ulfric's mercy."

Oh right I forgot about the further point proving Ulfric's dictatorship.

Leave.

Ulfric will likely be made high king in an upcoming DLC. He'll die and, because he named you brother, you will inherit the crown. Someone will likely challenge you for it and you'll go through an awesome quest and beat their butts.

What? I was just saying who would have credentials to run against him in the moot. What's that have to do with dictatorship?

Just pointing out a simple fact

He is using an armed force to force everyone to vote for him as High king thus dictatorship.

Why would they just leave it like that?! It sounds like they already did pick a side, because I hear if your imperial ulfric is killed. Do you think they'll make a new dlc for this? Where do I go to complain?

Never (in most of playthroughs). When is fair Elisif become High Queen? :D

Back on topic, difficult saying because there might be a twist either in a DLC or becomes non-existant in lore when TES VI comes out.

I doubt they'll make it into a dlc, like I said earlier it'll most likely end up as a moot point meaning that Ulfric won't be high king, the empire didn't end the rebellion and skyrim becomes two countries.

He used an armed force to remove the Empire from Skyrim. When did he say vote for me, or I'll have you killed? Do you mean because he has soldiers all over Skyrim, it is forcing them to vote for him?

I am confused, so lets leave this Ulfric=Dictator thing for another thread.

I guess that makes every king who wasn't voted into office (lol) a dictator.

Nope because the way skyrim has it the High King needs to be voted for but since Ulfric isn't really giving anyone a choice if he wins it is essentially "vote for me or I'll use my army to take you out"

Sounds like a pretty good DLC. Though they would have to make it Radiant, so that it work work for someone who did the Impie side of the Civil War as well.

He's not. He removed the Empire which included having to remove Empire supporting Jarls, as they would keep fighting otherwise. The fact that the Jarls will no doubt support him is simply an unforunate by product of the war. Elisif and Tullius do the exact same thing.

Every week I visit Windhelm to reposition his corpse. That aside I like that idea. Elisif is a fine "if this then that".

I would prefer it they let us support a Jarl at the Moot or position ourselves...because why not. Give the option, [censored] future canon.

He has a legitimate claim to the throne. By that reason he can't be a dictator. Even if he was...wah? Elisif does the same thing.

Actually not really, one of the new jarls could run for the office of High King and the imperials never go "They better vote for Elisif because our armies are in their cities" whereas Ulfric does say that.

Since any Jarl can run for High King each Jarl has a claim to the throne but Ulfric is making it impossible by having his armies in their holds and essentially threatening them.

I mean it's possible, but unlikely. I don't think they want to make your character an oathbreaker because when you sign up for a faction, you swear an oath.

That kind of leaves the only path being that Ulfric/Elisif die and you fight your way to the crown.
