When do you consider that you've beaten the game?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 7:17 pm

So I find myself making new characters over and over again just to do the same old quest...

Main quest, College of Winterhold, Companions, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, and the Civil War.

Since all of these guild quest lines are so short I end up getting bored quickly...

Have I beaten the game yet?

What else is there to do?

When do you consider that you've beaten the game?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You don't "beat" an Elder Scrolls game, you live it.

I've got 60 hours into my latest character and they've done very little questing or dungeon-diving.

Just running around exploring the overworld is pretty fun, for me anyway. I realized I hadn't traveled all of the main roadway, so that's what my character did after doing a bit of the MQ. That alone got her up to about 25-ish.

You live the game, huh?

I will try my hardest not to make a joke about people having no lives.

Anyways....is there anything else to do in the game?

Any interesting quest?

Anything I'm missing out on?

*shrug* I don't have to have "a life". I put in my 40 years and retired in comfort to an area with not many people - suits me, I'm a hermit. And a loner. As for anything else to do in game.... I never run out of things to do. I'm on toon 15 - she wiped out the DB, and is now simply dungeon-delving WITHOUT touching the MQ or the stupidity of the petty little civil war.

Can't help you, I'm afraid.

I just play TES games until Im bored with them. I never really consider them beaten, just games I no longer play.

I never beat Morrowind or Oblivion, so I doubt I'll ever beat Skyrim. Have you tried just exploring? Or roleplaying, if it interests you? Otherwise, you might have already burned yourself out of the game. Try putting it on the shelf for a few weeks or months, wait until the DLCs come out or when ever you're lingering for an Elder Scrolls' adventure.

Each time I play a new character, I always try different things, and I always come across some new aspects to the game. It's been like that with any TES game I've played. My latest character has spent over a hundred hours completing primarily miscellaneous quests.
