Where are all the Lesser Daedra?

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 5:31 am

Did something happen in lore, I don't know about that has caused all the lesser Daedra to go into hiding in Skyrim? I know the Oblivion Crisis ended and all that but surely 1 Scamp would have survived?

I miss the lessers.. :sadvaultboy:

What about you?

I have 36 hours played and I don't even know what a Daedra is XD

I got a heart from a vendor once and ate it... cost a pretty penny.

I found that really disappointing as well, only Daedra are the Dremora and Atranachs :( and Dremora's feel really weak and their voices are not as cool as their voices in Oblivion. I hope somebody makes them in the creation kit, how ca we not have scamps and clanfears etc....?

They are the servants aligned to the Daedra gods. Big walking crocodiles and pointy eared scamps, stuff like that. They have been in almost all the other TES titles.

Currently they don't fit the story, so Bethesda apparently didn't bother to make them. They'll probably come in one of the expansion packs. Personally I'd very much like to visit a daedric plane or a morrowind-type daedric shrine.

Not a diehard elder scrolls fan. The whole story in the last game was centered around daedra and the planes of oblivion. I don't think you learn much about them in this game unless you find an ingame book on the subject or actually play Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

I think there actually is a book about the oblivion crisis. :) (and it's even called "on the oblivion crisis" or something like that - I should have it standing in my bookshelf. :)) But it mostly tells what happened during the mainquest. :obliviongate:

Why do they not fit the story can I ask and if you can say without any spoilers? Conjurers and the Deadra Gods must have got real lazy in those 200 years.

I'll have to root out that book then. I don't think its going to be a pleasant read.

My previous experience with the Elder Scrolls is as follows: In 2007, I had a 1.8Ghz Pention with a Geforce FX/FX 400 graphics card and I couldn't find any games that work on my computer. I pirated Morrowind onto multiple iso images and backed it up on CD since at the time download speeds were super low. Installed and played it some, but it was really hard! (I broke my spacebar on that PC trying to jump jump jump jump around) so I could move faster. First game I ever saw that had 'items on shelves' you could collect or steal. I was an Imperial, and I eventually killed a ground bug on a cliff that looked out upon the land.

Later (2011), a few PCs later (let's not go there!) and troubleshooting online gameplay, here's the best game ever! Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim. I've chosen to take up from the ashes of Morrowind, and create a Dark Elf. My goal is to unleash the magicka of the Morrowind lands, and eventually garner enough strength through Bowflexin evra day, to help out the Nordic cause! When the red eyes of the dragon met mine on the chopping block, I knew I was in for a good time.

Geographically, if you are still there, where is Oblivion and Daedra? I heard that Morrowind and Skyrim share borders, but I bought digital because I didn't really care for a map of Skyrim since I know each place is totally different in there, but I never seen a local -> world -> global map.

It's sort of up and to the side. Just keep walking from Skyrim's borders - I'm sure you'll get to Daedra eventually.

Jokes aside, Oblivion is sort of a different dimension, and the Daedra are the things that live there. Each Daedric Lord has his own realm, etc. etc.

Is Daedra like Demon? (the forum has Daedra with squiggly red underline). I was picturing (in my mind's eye) faerie creatures that explode, leading to a loss in entropy of the land. Desperation and Legions of soldiers rising, in the land of Oblivion. Until it pops? So some Daedra parts ended up in Skyrim inducing enthalpy to the lands?

Just by searching the word "Daedra" in Google, you'll find a very good explanation of what they are. No offense, but it's not that hard to use the interwebs.

Daedra are from the planes of Oblivion, if you find a Daedra on earth a wizard did it. There free reign ended with the Oblivion crisis.

The Amulet of Kings was destroyed, Merunes Dagon was defeated by Akatosh, And the Dragon Fires were extinguished. The doors to Oblivion were closed shut. And the Oblivion crysis is over.

The deadra can only exist in Nirn (the TES world) if temporarilly summoned, or bound to something. They can no longer enter the world of Nirn on thier own.

Not every province is equal in Daedra quantity.

In Oblivion there were many Daedra due to Oblivion crisis.
In Morrowind there were many Daedra due to Daedric Worship being common there.
In Skyrim... Daedric Cults are weak and even the number of mages is small and both of those never allow enough Daedra to run around.
