Yes, I read the gameinformer article as well, but essentially, that only describes the game aspects, not the gameplay itself.

I missed the announcement that it was going to be a WoW clone, or that it was going to ruin the Elder Scrolls series. You're basing judgment on your own misguided preconceptions, a handful of concept art, and an article of facts written by a magazine.

How about you wait until we see some gameplay or at the very least, some videos, before you make any assumptions?

Every single upcoming MMORPG after WoW has always looked like WoW, played like WoW.

Sure, they boast ever such "innovations", but NONE are ever able to beat WoW.

The ONLY worthwhile mmorpg to look for is the Titan Project. Period.

Don't get me wrong .. there are details that of course we don't know from the article.
Maybe it will be the best instanced hotbar and auto attack MMO on the planet.
But the fact remains, it will not be what people tought about when they heard elder scrolls online for the first time.
We were all expecting first person game with all the freedom of the single player and the same core mechanics .. tweaked and all but the same base.

The article confirm it is not the case.

Now if you are interested in games that has instances, raids, xp based progression, pvp and non pvp areas etc.. you can still be excited about this.
The fact is .. most of the people following the project are not.

They make them up of course.

The article specifically stated that TES Online is using World of Warcraft style mechanics. If that's not an indicator of the game playing like WoW, then I guess SWTOR is an incredibly unique game after all.
