Hello, I'm new to modding and just want to change the body and face textures for individual races, I've found a few mods that do this to make the characters look younger and remove body hair, but I do not want this applied to all races and I'd like to try modding it for myself to see how to do it. I really want to find the base texture files, but can't seem to find them. Sorry I am such a noob, they may be compressed and hidden somewhere until the construction kit comes out?

In the Data folder, in the archive called:

Skyrim - Textures.bsa

Download the Fallout NV Mod Manager from the internet to open BSA files, then extract the texture files you need.

I believe they are in the .BSA files in the data file. Though I wouldn't know since I do not touch those files. There should be tutorials somewhere to help you find and edit them.

They're compressed inside Skyrim Textures.bsa. There are several programs that can open it for you (I use FO3Archive)
