Where are you going?

So the other day I decided to travel with Delphine to Sky Temple. There were a lot of dragon battles and in was a pretty cool experience. I used clarvoiance to show me the path so I wouldnt take a wrong turn and eventually I got to rorikstead and I know there is a shorter path over the mountain but my spell kept telling me to go around it. I was eventually lead to a point where my spell kept leading me back and forth on the road. I wasnt sure what was going on so I broke away from them to see where they went but they just kept taking that road back and forth. What the hell.

Clairvoyance is probably the most useless spell in the game, atleast in my opinion. Was a cool idea, not properly executed though.

This. It will have you trying to go through walls, under (or over) mountains, and other, equally inaccessible places. Use your map.

When we first started traveling I wandered off a bit and they broke off from me so I was using the spell to stay on track.

The map isnt really the best way to figure out a where you need to go once you are already lost. There are a few times when it sends me to a rock but for the most part it helps out a lot and is quicker than bringing up the map.

But my point wasnt about the spell walking me back and forth but that Delphine and the guy (forgot his name) just kept walking that same path. I was looking at them for 30 minutes just walking back and forth.

It would just be better for you to go Karthspire. When ever you get nearby, the icons look like two upside down "V"

I was just trying something different. It was a good trip I just don't understand why they take that other path just to walk back and forth instead of taking the path over the mountain that takes you right to Karthspire. It seems to be scripted intentionally I guess so they do not interact with the mine and town on that path but they still walk right through Rorikstead. Is this just a PS3 thing? Or do they do this on all systems.

I've had no problems with in when the Goal is on the ground.

But if it's in a Mountain. No it's useless..
