I'm level 30 over 70 hours in...where can I find one with offing a bos/ncr paladin?

By joining the BOS, you can buy it from them.

Go to the target practice area in the BOS bunker. There is a person selling gear to the right as you enter the door. I dont know if you have to be apart of the BOS to buy from her or not. I was already joined when I found her.

Easiest Gauss is in a gun cabinet in Bear Bootlegging shack west of Sunset Sarsaparilla Factory (factory's location is easily found by doing quests for Crimson Caravan). Dodge or kill a few Cazadores, it's in a locked gun chest after you open the door with a key you find there.

thats a random thing because when i checked there it was not in there, but for the OP, i got the unique gauss rifle from some mercenary guy in the north part of the map near some placve called tumbleweed ranch or something like that, far north of the map above vegas i think, if you just go east i think it is from tumbleweed ranch you'll run into these raider type guys and one of em has this gauss rifle and its a very good weapon, it takes one less microfussion cell, its very powerfull and its pretty easy to get fairly early on if you wanted it bad enough. wiki has more info on the exact location.

The unique one requires you to not have Wild Wasteland. If you do, you will get the Alien Blaster instead.

I got that Gauss in every playthrough so far. Maybe dont' go there too early.

1. Get pulse gun.
2. Kill silly metal men.
3. Loot gauss gun.

Murder BOS get lots for free I remember looking in rauls inventory he had 4 of them I had not given him any I was like thanks seen as I gave ed-d some already 2 to hold could of been a bug but I dunno mybe he picked them up?. Bos in this game are just annoying to me how dare they tell me to take all my armor off.

BoS are way cooler than NCR...

Look east of Brooks Tumbleweed Ranch and kill the current owner.

East of the tumbleweed ranch is... flat ground, the 95, and impassable mountians.

I have the unique version of the gauss that is easily obtainable and is found at a mercenary camp.

It's more like west of the Northern Passage and northish of Tumbleweed Ranch. Just keep looking. :wink_smile:

Hey, I just got you close enough where ED-E advanced sensors should pick them up. Look along those impassable mountains. If you have the "Wild Wasteland" trait the gun won't be there I understand, but replaced with a regular Gauss Rifle.

With Wild Wasteland he will get Alien Blaster there (guess from whom), base dmg 100 energy weapon.

Take Veronica as a companion.

Once you get the I could make you care quest from her you will be confronted by some Paladins after she talks to the Elder.

Later on they will confront you again,if you fail to convince the elder,and attack you outside the bunker if you don't have a extremely high speech skill.

The bodies should give up 2-3 Gauss guns and no bad blood with the brotherhood.

I was so mad because i had a 92 speech skill and fell short of resolving the incident without bloodshed.
