Where is dawngard?

Post » Wed Nov 21, 2012 3:26 am

I am on ps3 so I haven't been able to play it yet but I was wondering how do you get to it. Is it one of the roads that lead to an opening that says you can't access this at the moment? If so could we determine what might be in future dlc by where the path leads? Just something I was thinking of at the moment. Thanks.

Haha no. I really dont care if ps3 ever gets dlc for skyrim. Personally I wish beth never svcked it up and took x-box's money either. I am just playing on a console untill I save up enough for a decent gaming lap top.

So back to my question.

to fort dawnguard it is a random cave you walk into, and magically appear on the other side of in a new cell with the fort

the cave is right behind riften a little ways back.

To the castle you go up towards the water a ways off, get in a little row boat and "fast travel" to the castle.

This boat is in the northwestern shore

I've never tried to swim to the castle so I don't know if it's possible, but it seems more like new added cells than added places you can walk straight towards.

So is the cave leading to Fort Dawnguard a marked location?

Absolutely nothing. Just like half the game; and that's why you'll never play Dawnguard.

It's marked if you side with dawnguard. It seems after choosing a side they remove the marker to the opposing teams location.

have to agree with the guy above, it didn't quite make sense...

I can't get anything out of it lol

Although me personally I did have my dislikes with dawnguard and that's all that I can see your statement expressing.

Marked as in the canyon becomes a fast travel location, or just the name appears on the map so you know where to go?

What?

Out of your entire post count, how many do you think consisted of nothing but the word "what"?

Anyway, Dayspring Cavern is down by Riften and you have to go through there in order to get on the road to Fort Dawnguard. Castle Volkihar is on the entire other side of the map near Solitude. You need to take a boat to get there.

eh don't be so hard on the guy. He's craving information and doesnt understand what some people are saying.

I didn't quite understand what the guy was saying. He's just treating it more like a conversation. That would've been his impulsive response I'd assume xD

I'm not trying to pick on him or anything, it's just every other post, even outside of the PS3 Dawnguard threads, all just say "what" even if the quote is self explanatory. I was just wondering and I'm not the first to have asked him this. Oh well. I could have questioned it in a less demanding fashion though.

Edited for a grammatical error

hehe np I'm not picking on you for "picking" on him either :P

Haven't noticed alot of "what" responses but definitely short responses I have noticed.

But it's all fine.

And sometimes the situation is a language barrier so the wording can be confusing. I wouldn't necessarily know his reason but it's a possibility.

Talking about him for him though seems a bit weird so I'll probably just leave it at that lol

Now I'm confused.

So now he'll never play Dawnguard because there exist roads in the game that lead nowhere?
...and how is this a Troll thread? How did you come to this idea?

I'm not trying to start anything...I'm just really confused and would like to know how people are coming to these conclusions.

Lol yeah

So do both the cave and Fort Dawnguard become fast travel options? Since the cave leads right to Fort Dawnguard i'm surprised the cave becomes a fast travel option too and not just the Fort.

the fort itself may rather than the cave, but I think it may have been the cave.

Think of the cave as the door into whiterun. You just go through it and boom, in whiterun.
