Where to find robes to enchant?

Post » Fri May 25, 2012 11:44 pm

So as I near the 100 mark on enchanting, I'm somewhat concerned with where I am going to be able to find robes of a specific appearance to enchant. Obviously most of us are somewhat obsessive with the way our character will look. I really like the look of the plain apprentice robes, even the Arch-Mage's robes. So with that being said, where am I going to find these items with a blank slate? Enchanting destroys them after disenchanting so I'm confused. I really don't want to be forced into a legitimate robe (dress) type look. I really dislike traditional robes. Sorry if the answer to this question is obvious, but I'm getting worried. Thanks in advance for anyone who may know this answer.

There is a clothes shop right at the enterance of the city of solitude. A lot of what they sell has no enchants. If there is a clothes model in the game the player can wear this place sells it. Yeah I made crafting gear with a blacksmiths apron (fort smithing and fort alchemy).

Well I'll be pretty bummed if i cant find a blank set of robes that look like the arch-mages or even just an apprentice robes, that i can use to enchant. Anyone know where to find anything like this? Standard robes are lame. I want the look of the apprentice robes.

Radiant Rainment sells some college robes. You can also find unenchanted blue mage robes occasionally, but nearly every robe in the game is already enchanted. You can't even spawn them via console without enchants on them already. I.E. Thalmor robes are always enchanted no matter what you do.

I hate the look of the long full length robes. I'm disappointed i cant summon a simple set of "apprentice robes" with a hood thats not enchanted. Bleeeeeehwsdjondsfg.

I was able to buy all of http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y113/Skyless/clothes.jpg from Radiant Raiment. Maybe they're what you're looking for?

yea the second set of robes are more of what im looking for HOWEVER!! After farting around with the additems in the console i found the exact set of robes i was looking for. Just cant change the color, but that's the least of my worries. It is "player.additem 0010D691 1"

The last one simply states the quantity. WHEW!! I was getting worried. Now im stoked! I knew you wouldn't let me down Bethesda!
