Where is my FULL soundtrack?

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 1:47 am

So my last thread about the soundtrack got shot down by forum "dictatorship" and "censorship of negative feedback". So let's try a more safer approach on this particular topic...
The soundtrack which comes with the collectors edition doesn't have near all tracks from the game, i want to listen to them out of the game aswell. Shelling out $150 on the collectors edition and not even get all the tracks from the game is a real letdown. I looked around and many many people complain about this and feel cheated, especially people who posted nice comments on the now deleted soundtracks on youtube.

Are there any plans to release a full soundtrack, or give the people who bought the collectors edition an oportunity to download the full soundtrack in mp3 format so we can put in on out iPods? It would be much appreciated. Or put it on Amazon, to get some addition income, i just want all tracks i didn't get with the collectors edition for $150.

I fear the evil moderator will show up again and close this thread aswell, sometimes you have to bite into the sour apple, so i ask you to not close this thread aswell, because the soundtrack nonsense really bugs me and many other people. And i would like to hear an official response here, because this is a rather inportant topic, if you pay $150 for a gamebox!

Thanks

It was never announced that there would be a soundtrack with the game.
Amazon sends it with 5 songs, but that's just from them.

After discovering this I used some "alternate" way to get the soundtrack.

You can either extract it from the game files directly, or get the extracted version from other people.
Just don't expect having all proper tags or labels in your music file.

People have had problems when ordering this, it takes a long while to get it and when you do it might likely be damaged due to lack of protection.

Personally I ordered this at 3rd of November and got a receipt through Paypal. At the 24th I got an e-mail to confirm my address which I did.
It is now 12th of December and I haven't heard anything else from them, if it was sent wouldn't I get another e-mail?

Just used google, you can find the full OST for download already. So again the paying customers have more troubles than people who download it for free. Hilarious..

That's why I didn't get the CE this time around. I usually do, but an extra hundred bucks for a plastic dragon statue and art book? And considering the extras that came with FO3 and New Vegas for half that? Ha, no.

CE owners should get this for free as thank you for spending so much money for those extras.

Have you ever thought of just copying the music files directly from the game itself?? That would be the most logical thing to do.

Silly wabbit... what you think they're going to give you EVERYTHING???!!! This is corporate America bub - you gots to pay and pay and pay and even when you're dead, they'll still try to svck more money out of you if they could. Just take the music directly from the files in the game - you don't need their extra crap which I agree with you should've come with the CE after what you paid for it.

Well there are ways to extract it, but i drop the $30 gladly for the soundtrack, i hope Jeremy Soule gets his fair share from the sales.
And as i posted, the full 4CD soundtrack is also available on youtube, the full 3:38:46.

There you see Zenimax Media Inc, there is no way to fight Anonymous, you will lose regardless and harvest bad reputation for idiotic moves.
I just give you an example:; Saints Row: The Third has also amazing soundtrack, but their publisher doesn't remove the soundtracks from Youtube, because it's free advertisment!

Or take the Valve philosophy, give the players something for free and get twice the amount back, it works. But not many publishers realize that this is a good way to deal with a gaming community.

Umm, I'm pretty much at the age where gaming was running rampant in American culture and I never remember Mario coming with a plastic bowser.... in fact games were only that the game. CE is a new thing the 2000s spawned.

Directsong don't usually issue CDs, they predominantly offer a download service, so the Skyrim soundtrack is rather unique. Jeremy Soule is also signing copies ordered before 23rd Dec or thereabouts, so that'll slow down the process too, but you will get an email when it is posted out. I got my shipping confirmation yesterday and I preordered mine a few months back, so I suspect demand has been higher than they anticipated.

It's available in the game files and you can listen to it in-game and on YT, for instance. I mean... Paying $150 to feel pretentious for something you can listen to for free is not exactly what I call smart money management.
