Where is Prey 2 update!

Post » Sun Apr 21, 2013 12:36 pm

Happy birthday Prey 2 update. That's right, it's the one year anniversary of the last Prey 2 update. Time to share some new details, Bethesda!

There are so many unanswered questions. We need to find out what happened to Tommy, how did Killian become a bounty hunter, who's worse the Ceros Collective or the Regime, what happens if I human shield a thug and drag him to the edge of central city? Will he talk or should I just laser whip him to pieces, and switch on chameleon before the cops show up? How about some answers, Bethesda?

Haha, that wasn't my intention, although I can see how someone could read it like that. I was just trying to think of a goofy way to celebrate the anniversary of the Prey 2 update. Actually, excluding a handful of awesome interviews, it's been 20 months since we've seen anything new from game. http://www.bethblog.com/2011/08/09/prey-2-tommys-back/

Yeah I mean the point is to keep the spirit alive :P

I just can't believe gamesas/Zenimax could care so little for this game all of a sudden. They may have a new IP, and another yet to be revealed and who knows how many others, but Prey2 it still the greatest thing they've showed off.

Very true!

I definitely agree with you on Prey 2 being the greatest thing Bethesda's shown off. It looks like Dishonored borrowed from it, along with doing tons original stuff too, or at least shares similar ideas. After all Prey 2 was announced first, and therefore, further along in development. That and I find the playing in open-world environment more engaging than sandbox levels. Surely they could at least compliment each other? Bethesda own's both of them, and although they don't own Human Head, that doesn't make the game any less of an accomplishment. Imagine how great it would've been if Bethesda released Prey 2 and Dishonored last year? They would've duked it out for GOTY. Instead we got Doom 3 BFG Edition and Dishonored.

First off who cares if gamesas/Zenimax have a new IP in development we can no longer trust these companies to actually follow through with the projects. Do they actually expect us to get excited over a live action trailer about a game that is probably not finished being developed. It's a joke to show us anything until it is about a month from it's release date. They have no credibility as far as I am concerned. Prey 2 was the best game this group had to offer and they (censored) tanked it!!!! It's unbelievable they have the balls to continue showing off products that may never ship. I am so pissed off at these companies, first they hype Brink to no end making gamers believe it would change the way we play FPS games. Actually that turned out to be true: it was the first time I took a disc out of my Xbox and chucked it at my wall. Then they show us Prey 2 the most awesome game concept seen in years. Anyone with half a brain can see by the demo that the game play being developed had never been done before. This game was everything Brink wished it could be and Mirrors Edge tried to be. Human Head lived up to there side of any deal they had with Bethesda and then some. Oh! but that wasn't good enough for them or so it would seem for they decided to tie a brick around it and toss it in the bay. Then moved on to the most similar title they had going, Dishonored and hoping they could win over the fans of Prey 2 with closely related content. Alas, they were wrong for the Prey 2 fans will not go away and we will continue to question until someone at these companies gives us an answer.

WHERE IS PREY 2?

Can you create any more of a misleading title? I thought this was an actual update. Waste of time.

Nope. Luckily I didn't write that. Someone edited the thread title.

I made the thread to point out that Bethesda hasn't shared any new Prey 2 details for over a year. I think that's a valid reason for a thread.
