Where is the fantasy?

A topic that popped on the Skyrim forums asking the question of what exactly happened to the fantasy in what is supposed to be a supposedly high fantasy universe in TESV: Skyrim, a fair question as both Skyrim and Oblivion (not including Shivering Isles) lacked the fantasy elements that the series is know for and quite honestly felt a bit plain, especially when you read all about this high fantasy universe in the books that seems non existant in the games. I bring this up because as you know GI released a new page of information on the Daggerfall covenant, and while it is information I am sure you all know I was looking at the concept art featured on the page which I can only assume is the province of High Rock and wondering could this be the game that brings back the fantasy?

Perhaps this is just what the series needed, a fresh take from a new team, one that does justice to the high fantasy setting contained within.

Also does anyone know if any figures have been given as to how big the world is? Like how big will Skyrim be when compared to the Skyrim of TES:V?

I always thought High Rock was supposed to be the generic medieval part of Tamriel. Granted, that was before Oblivion.

I could see what you are saying :) but i never thought oblivion and skyrim were plain- i think they brought those games very close to the lore of men races. There was fantacy like the unicorn in oblivion and dragons in skyrim. maybe i mis-understanding what you meant by fantasy and meant fantasy in another format. i enjoy all the games from daggerfall when i played in 1999 to skyrim. brought the book lore in the games pretty close how they should of look by the computer quality of each games year that was made in. in my opinion of course
