where the updates? community managers?

Post » Fri Sep 17, 2010 12:04 am

I think a new game like this should have atleast a few Community Managers letting us know what is going on, the last update for RULES was 12/4 that's already a week ago.

Can we get any helpfull NEW information??

(we dont care about the "We are working on it" blablabla stuff btw.)

thanks

Even if Crytec would go the route that Eve Online took and have volunteering reps from the game's community to communicate directly to Crytec it would work. Because they clearly don't seem to be interested in communicating the fact that they may be reading the forums Christ, I would volunteer to be a rep if it would help get the communication ball roling.

Well, what do you want them to say? "Yeah, we read that and we're considering it for the next patch" every day? That's probably what's happening and it's not really worth saying on a daily basis.

God no, updating on a daily basis would be insane I am not suggesting that Cry-tom or whoever else post in every topic saying "this will be taken into consideration", Just saying that like many other games, have one of their annoucments be about coming patch notes or something, they seem to be active as they do update the forums rules and such. But the community volunteers idea I do like, sort of like half modirators that check the forums often and PM moderators or something to give them updates.

I really don't see the benefit of that. I'd rather have patch notes when the actual patch is out. Plus, imagine the nerdrage if they announce a fix and then for some reason or other it ends up falling through. People would never stop complaining.

Honestly, I just don't understand these threads. Some of you guys seem to think Crytek somehow have something to gain from not posting any info and that's why they're not doing it. And that just doesn't make any sense. I think we all agree that keeping us updated as often as possible is a good way to keep us interested in the game, right? And keeping us interested in the game is necessary to get us to buy DLC, and in the long run, Crysis 3. So there's no sensible reason for them to withhold information and the only logical conclusion is that there just isn't anything that's final enough to be posted. The end.

Then maybe Crytek haven't let him off the leash to reveal details?

Yeah, people seem to forget (or just aren't aware) that Brink uses P2P on consoles. PC uses dedicated servers.

Brink will have issues, undoubtably. I'm actually still undecided on that TBH.

didnt you read the post above you? it makes logical sense why crytek havent notified us of anything yet. being angry doesnt change anything.

it seems like its very easy for people to judge something to which they have no idea about.

Hey guys,

I just posted this in the 360 forum and figured i should post it here also:

I don't have any information regarding console patches right now but i can tell you that patches for the 360 and the PS3 are in the works. As previously stated, this is something we could do separately to a patch and of course we wish for you guys to have the best experience as soon as possible so in conjunction with the patch development, we also did these weapon tweaks.

Cheers!
