Which class scales best to 81?

Post » Sat Jan 26, 2013 9:36 am

Hey guys. I'm looking to settle down with something to take all the way to 81. I can't decide what to pick yet, but my biggest concern is scaling. What scales best all the way to 81? I hear magic starts to become gimp while melee and bows keeps up?

Also, can you guys recommend warrior / mage / stealth type class?

Thanks.

P.S. I kind of hate to be a mage because then you don't get to wear any of the armor, really..

Well, your going to have to get all skills to 100, so I would assume you have to start by going up the middle of enchanting with your perks, then you can rotate your fortify skill enchants to be effective at all skills. Your most important skill is enchanting.

Seeing how you must use everything, settling into a set class is a little far from the mark.

And why does a mage have to be stuck with only wearing robes?

Well I can't get every perk so I still have to pick a main style.

Perks are not the issue. The skill level is the thing. You must actually use them.

You can look at yourself as a Mage but at some point you are going to have to raise Heavy Armor, 2H, 1H...

Getting to 81 is like using all classes. You have to be a mage in light armor and heavy armor.

True.

And this makes picking perks irrelevant:

One question though. If I smith and enchant my stuff, then spec back out of those trees, what happens?

Well there is always the option of be whatever you want and buy the rest of the skills, you don't have to 'Do' everything. I think you'll find by lvl 81 archers'll stealth kill everything, two handed heavy amoured warriors'll decapitate everything & and general arcane warriors'll produce endless combinations of fun. I tend to find over lvl60 you become a jack-of-all-trades and it depends on the day & the situation what skill set to use.

Nothing...This will be a popular tactic for future playthroughs for a lot of players.

May I present to you, http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/character-building/forum/topics/character-build-utopian-level-81-1st-edit?commentId=6452022%3AComment%3A148772&groupId=6452022%3AGroup%3A48137.

Obviously the build will require a lot of grinding, but the end result is amazing. It can literally do everything; assassinate, cast, fire a bow, or lob off heads with a giant axe. It's certainly not for the roleplayer ;).
