Which difficulty are playing on?

Two things.

What difficulty are you playing on? Are you finding it easy or hard?

Also I was going through the menu to turn on subtitles, then I went to look at the difficulty settings and I went and pushed over on the directional pad(ps3) and accidentally started changing the setting. So now I don't know what the default was. I didn't realize you needed to push circle. If anyone can tell me what is the default difficulty that would be great.

Thanks so much. Not sure if you know off the top of your head or you can take a quick look for me. I just want to play the game at what Bethesda started me with, at least to later when I'm more familiar.

Thanks a bunch. I should have just done a quick search because I ended up finding it but I'm still interested in how people are playing.

For some reason or another the game started me off on Master, so I got my ass beat for a while before toning it down to Expert. It's still tough at times, and I've had to flee a number of fights, but it seems OK so far. And Adept seems to be the middle-of-the-road difficulty, so I would imagine that it may be the default.

I'm actually playing on Apprentice, because those damn Frost Trolls are a [censored] to fight. Mind you I might boost it up a notch or two since I haven't seen any for a while.

I'm on Adept and I'm thinking of uping the difficulty. Few things actually put my life at risk on Adept, and I think Expert could make it a bit more challenging.

Is Expert a big leap in difficulty over Adept?

Started on master, but was not so much fun. Now playing on veteran and I am happy so far. Some fights are really tough, have to pick my fights sometimes but hey, this is Skyrim after all. Not the friendliest environment for an Argonian ;).

I tried master, but jesus it's unrelenting...so I'm on expert. It makes me feel like how one man should feel against the world. I can die easily, and have trouble when over matched like 2 on 1 fights are clearly in the enemies favor and they can easily kill me if I don't play smart. Expert seems to be the way to go.

I'm on adept but it's too easy 95% of the time, I even easily defeated a blood dragon earlier.

Time to move up to Expert, I'd much have just preferred it though if they had an easier and harder difficulty each side of the normal one, would be much, much better.

Adept. I'm not going for L33t, or anything. Have had a few rough patches with "boss" level vampires/necromancers, giant frost spiders and spriggans. Only fought one Bandit Chief and handled him with ease. Sums up nearly all enemies I've fought today.
