I just got a new computer with one 1TB HDD. Is there suppose to be two drives like in the image? If so, what's the difference between them? And where should I keep my games?

Set up a file directory called C:\Games. Put Steam in there, and any other games that you have. This way you won't have UAC issues with older games, and Steam will put any older games you get in the Games directory.
Not sure why they sort of split the drive in half giving you two partitions, but that is what you have. Ostensibly, it is so you can format the C Partition if you ever need to, and keep your data files in place.
