So I happened to stumble across the UESP page for Khajiits, and I thought I'd brush up some on knowledge regarding races in TES. I got to reading and it mentioned some of the races that happened to be in past games, but not the race of Khajiit found in Skyrim. I'm normally not too concerned for things like this but seeing as how my main character in Skyrim is a Khajiit I'd figure I may as well know.


I have a feeling the race found in game is the 'Ohmes-raht', because the UESP Wiki said that race walks on the heels of their feet, like humans do, while other Khajiit races don't do that. The Khajiit in Skyrim obviously walk like that. I think I may be asking something I already know, but I'm not TES Lore buff (in fact only got into TES a few weeks back) and I don't know how precise canon is in this universe.


Anyone got an answer besides mine?

The Khajiit in Oblivion and Skyrim are said to be Cathay on the wiki.

I had a good feeling about that also, wikis are wikis. I'm still curious, if any minds have the answer.

The ones in Skyrim and Oblivion are Suthay-Raht, as I recall. The Ohmes and Ohmes-Raht are too human-like in appearance.

So in the lore, is that race described as walking on the heels of their feet like Ohmes-raht, or is the piece in the wiki about the Ohmes-raht walking as such false?

Further shown that in the TES books, the khajiit leader Attrebus was traveling with looked quite human, though had light fur and tattooed her face, like the ones in Daggerfall (Ohmes-Raht). Oh, and her brother was a cattle cat, the Senche-Raht. Giant sized lion khajjit thing, that walks on all fours and is more like a horse mount. Also, the youngins were all kittens.
