I am a Night Elf who uses destruction spells and one hand + shield combat.

I was wondering if I should put perks into Illusion, Alteration, Conjuration, or Restoration.

Which one would you pick and why?

I'd first question how you managed to pick night elf.

Destruction svcks if you're not going to use both hands. You want the dualcast stagger perk. You'll have to spread over into something else if you're not going to make use of that, like conjuration.

Illusion is unreliable, its core abilities useless against undead and dragons that have been the majority of enemies I've faced. Restoration and alteration are defensive, so that's getting outright redundant paired with a shield.

Conjuration is the winner.

I picked Night Elf cause I am new to Elder Scrolls and thought it was a good choice haha. I only ever do dual handed destruction...but you didn't answer my question. Which one would you pick, and why?

I thought you were using a shield. So you're playing a night elf with three hands?

Conjuration is pretty nifty. I'm playing a pretty weak mage, with no armor to speak of, and at my current level (7 or so) I'm doing pretty well in most fights conjuring Flame Atronachs.

Anyway, I'd say restoration is the best magic school currently.

Yea, so far I am leaning toward conjuration...restoration seems cool too, but I figure I can just buy healing potions whenever I take a big hit

Night elves in this game are the falmer, they went down to live inside the earth which have caused them to become blind and then become falmer.

So, how did you get to play a falmer cus i would really like to do that xD

conjuration is good cause you can summon an elemental to fight with you its like having a team

What? The Falmer are not night elves.. They are Snow Elves and they were forced down into the ''underground'' because humans took over... that's why they're blind now, because it's so dark...
Falmer = Snow Elves
Bosmer = Wood Elves
Dunmer = Dark Elves
Altmer = High Elves
Orsimer = Orcs
Dwemer = Dwemer....

I strongly suggest getting the Restoration perks for increased Magicka regeneration, if nothing else.

Illusion... It's just too much fun causing chaos on the field.
