Which mousepad?

So, my old cheap mousepad has finally spilled out its wrist-rest interior gel, and I'm looking at getting another.

The mouse I'm using is an old IntelliMouse Explorer 3 - I've tried newer mice but this one just seems to perform better.

Prices for mousepads range from £1 to £40...and I really don't know if the added precision claims made for gaming mousepads actually make a difference in something like Skyrim. One of these more expensive mouspads is double-sided - one side better for speed, and the other side better for control! Or is this all this just a theoretical benefit rather than a measurable practical benefit and thus a waste of money? And as my mouse is so old would a gaming mousepad be a waste of time?

Are there any recommended mousepads? I don't care about the looks, but don't want one visually branded as a mousepad specifically for games as I also use it for my day job and don't want clients to think I'm wasting their money on gaming stuff!

I'd really like it to have a wrist rest.
