Probably the Dunmer. If you just take Vivec you'll need a couple of days to read everything and understand it.

This should be in TES series discussion, or the Lore discussion.

Anyway, definitely the Dunmer for me.

I think Morrowind pretty much sealed the deal for the Dunmer.

I mean, heck, Jiub is a Dunmer. Jiub!

I'm more interested in Argonians. Everything I read about them make me want to explore their lands.

i personally find the Redguard interesting. Nothing seals the deal for me like sword-and-sorcery Jedi

The dunmer have the most lore.
Skyrim definitely did a nice touch-up for the Nords though

Though,
i should probably say that Imperial lore is pretty much the canvas, on top of which every other race paints their own lore

I find the story about how the Khajiit were made very interesting, and how there are different breeds.

Argonians. The in game lore is not that developed but it's enough to make them very appealing and mysterious. The TES novel made them even more interesting.

The nords lore written before Skyrim was released was my favorite.

Actually, after the Infernal City book came out, I feel like it messed up TES Universe.

Dunmer, hands down.
And not because they're my favorite race. Actually, they're my favorite race because of their lore.

I'd pick dunmer. I love their lore. And bit complicated to understand at first.
I like Bosmer's lore too, especially about their "wild hunt".

The Human races seem bland. I say the best lore would be the Argonians. There is very little of it but, they stuff they do have it is interesting.

The Dunmer seem to have the most. As another poster mentioned, the Tribunal alone could push them to the top for me.

The Khajiit seem to have a lot of underdeveloped lore. The UESP wiki page is filled with information about the different breeds of Khajiit, their self-destructive nature, and their different take on religion yet none of these things have had a significant effect on any quest.

1. Dunmer
2. Khajiit
3. Orsimer

This is of course my opinion.

Dunmer, closely followed by Khajiit.

Imperials would be last for me; they weren't even in the games prior to Morrowind, were fairly generic in Oblivion, and are bland Roman copies in Skyrim.

Imperial lore is actually very interesting, they are not Roman copy, they are based on Roman, but not completely.

Do you know that they came into existance due to the mixing of the bloods of atmoran, nedes, ayleids, and even akaviri? That's the reason their culture are so diverse.

That the making of their religion (The nine pantheon) includes removing elven aspect from the time god to create akatosh and along the line cause dragon break?

That one of their hero Pelinal is a controversial figure? Some says that he's avatar of the Lorkhan and Shor, some says he's a robot, etc.

And that another of their figures Reman Cyrodiil is also controversial? Some says that he was born from Nirn itself as the result of St. Alessia love making with nirn.

There are plenty of interesting Imperial historical figures and culture and history. St. Alessia rebellion in itself is fascinating.

You've got some good points there, their early history is certainly original. It definitely has potential, as this http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/216475-1e-242-the-rebellion-of-st-alessia/ proves. But compared to the Dunmer and Khajiit, and many of the other races, there's very very little written on it in-depth.

Ah, well, to be honest I find Imperial lore more fascinating than Bretons. And another of interesting historical figures of Imperial in the third era is probably Pelagius, most of the history of the third era empire can be associated with them, since they are the ruler of the empire. Third era empire is a part of them. And many historical figures of the empire is interesting.

Their lore is interesting just not interesting in the way dunmer does that is, obscurity.

All of TES races have rich and deep lore, personally I found their genealogy fascinating starting from Ehlnofey and hist until they became the races we know now.The ammount of things Bethesda put to the lore is astounding. We just need to know where to look.

Dunmer. All I got to say is Vivec. I find that the deeper you get into Khajiit lore, the more insanity you get. Sloads are never in any post-Redguard TES games, but they can fart to the moon. I think that makes them somewhat more interesting.
