Which shout for archer?

Post » Sat May 19, 2012 7:41 pm

So I recently got the slow time shout and I have been looking forward to getting this one the most, my guy is an archer so I thought it would be of huge benefit to me.
I have to say the effect is cool but I wasn't expecting myself to slow down as much also, the wait for the string to draw is excruciating. I thought you could get more shots off before it stops (struggling with one)?
Is this the same effect for when you get the archer perk slow time?

So first off what shouts do you guys recommend for archer only types and why and also which ones for other main classes and why?

Detect Life for easier sneak attacks with bow, Whirlwind Sprint when fighting dragons.

I'm archer and i find whirlwind very useful for avoiding deadly attacks. Fire breath one is also useful if someone gets too close.

Whirlwind Sprint, Fus Ro Dah, and possibly the one that summons bears or other critters.

Why sprint for dragons? Is it to give distance from them when they land?

The fully upgraded Unrelenting Force (that you get during a couple of quests) will knock down and/or stun pretty much everything, which gives you a good few seconds of shooting. Since getting it, it's pretty much the only shout I use (that, and the Storm Call when fighting dragons and/or giants).

I Would get throw voice...good for use when people are searching for you or you need to line up a shot. It has a very short cool down.
Next I would suggest ice form, as an archer it can give you time to create some breathing room.
In addition the aura whisper (detect life) if you're a sneaky character, I have yet to find a detect life spell so this shout helps.

Marked for death, increases damage the enemy takes. Might stack as well. Have killed some dragons very quickly with that.

Does the ice form shout do a little damage when the enemy breaks free?
