Which ''vampire rank'' is the Dragonborn?

When you become a Vampire in Dawnguard, which rank and type are you? Are you pureblood or not? Master, bloodied? Etc.. :)

Halfbreed, according to Harkon. Mixed Breed, according to Valerica. Either way, your just half of what a pureblood is.

You are infected by a pureblood so you are halfblood. You have to be given it directly by Molag Bal to be pureblooded.

Shame there is no way to get the player character up to the pureblood status. Guess i will have to live with being second generation instead, should of let us drain him dry and gain his pureblood though like in VTM.

spending a night with the king of [censored] sounds butt hurtingly horrible, i'll stick with being a badass half-blood who gets all the perks of being pure blood

depends if your playing a male character. Harkon had to sacrifice 1000 innocent lives to become a pureblood.

It would be pretty cool if a female character had some extra conversation options about being sent off to Molag Bal to be made into a Pureblood but they decide not to for whatever reason. For example:

Spoiler
Harkon could tell you he is planning on sending you off to Molag Bal before you go off with Serana to find the Soula Cairn which gives you an additional incentive to go with Serana to stop Harkon.

1st gen = Purebloods.

2nd Gen = Halfbloods...those turned by Purebloods, since they are closer to being Pureblooded than thin-bloods they can turn into the Vampire Lord form.. (You're in this)

3rd Gen and so forth = Thin bloods, they are weaker supposedly and lose the power to turn into a Vampire Lord and are shunned from the Castle Volkihar and are considered accidents. (Thin-bloods outnumber the Purebloods and Halfbloods, I believe but fear them so they don't overrun them)

Think of it this way since its a court system..

Purebloods = Kings and Queens and Princesses (In Serana's case)

Halfbloods = Nobles.

Thin-bloods = Expendable peasants.

This, Bal needs to give it to you directly in order to be considered pure. Although being the Dragonborn should move you up a couple rungs in the rank.

Yes you do.

It is a one line statement that someone says to you after you kill Harkon that most people miss because they did a crappy job making you feel like the Lord.

Something along the lines of "we recognize your power as Lord of this court and will do your bidding and spread vampirism for you" or some crap like that.

Man I loved the V:TM game sessions. I haven't played DG (PS3 user) but being able to commit diablerie on Harkon would be SWEET. Thumbs up on the referrence
