Which villain enemy gave you the most trouble?

Post » Tue Aug 14, 2012 3:20 am

For me it was the wizard in Japhets Folley tower...Halindir I think. I was on level 24 and just couldn't get past him for hrs. Gave up, went to a new char and got to level 57 and got a lot better at the game and hten went back. I went bakc to the old char on level 24, changed my tactics and then was finally able to deferat that SOB.

The only ones that gave me trouble was Morokei (Thought to be fair, I fought him at a very low level) and Krosis. Curse him and his fireballs.

Krosis was the worst! and don't agro him and the dragon at the same time. I jumped to my death off the cliff to escape both of them the first time I crossed their paths.

I fought the one for the main quest at level 17, he killed me in two hits on the default difficulty. I only did a sliver of damage.

I did have trouble with a few of the DPs, but then realized they are suseptible to arrows and you jusyt have to keep moving.
I believe one of them was in Skuldafyn.

probably not my hardest battle but the Wizard boss from Peryite's quest, Orthendor I think.
He is completely immune to magic attacks, and I was a pure mage.
I didn't have the conjure dremora lord spell, only a frost atronach to melee him but he could teleport to places that the atronach couldn't reach him, so that's useless.

Luckily for me I had the mace of molag bal from completing Bal's quest earlier that day so I had to run around his teleports wacking him, worth mentioning that I only had 100 stamina and no skill in 1 handed, so you can imagine how dumb that was. Good thing I could easily Ward his attacks tho.

I had to turn the difficulty down to novice. And he still owned me.

Second character, a mage, happened to run across Krosis by accident at about level 4 or so. It was a very long fight...

I had to go back threw the whole dungeon, picking up a draugr bow and every arrow I could find, and did the whole, sneak, shoot, go back to hiding until he stops searching for me, shoot again, repeat" gig

Oh, yes, Krosis. Darn him! His health is over 9000!!! No joking. Plus the dragon... And if you're overencumbered = *boom*

At low levels, yeah I'd say Dragon Priests.
Another guy I had a bit of trouble with would be that guy's Soul in Azura's star during her quest.

I did the same thing somewhat. My iron swords did nothing to him so I switched to magic. And then hide until he stopped searching for me and then attacked only Morokei continued to stay in one place. A bug that I was thankful for at the time.

Alduin when I went after him with a particular character at level 50. I guess I waited too long because I coulndn't even cause any damage to him. I eventually bailed and decided to go back after I smith a little better gear and have a few more levels under my belt.

Hope that works. I've beaten him before with other characters.....I just didn't wait until I was level 50 to do it.

The Draugr Death Overlord in Soljund's Sinkhole. Hands down, the hardest thing I've done in 400-plus hours of Skyrim. On master, I found him worse than Krosis, and certainly worse than any dragon. Much worse, actually.

This is the dungeon where you have to fight the overlord in a small room where a statue is shooting fire bolts at you the whole time (and it's not one of those ones with a soul gem you can dislodge--it doesn't stop shooting until the draugr dies). The overlord won't follow you out of the room, typically. You'd think that would be an advantage but it's not.

The reason it's so hard is that he heals, and he could one-shot my level 26 battlemage. And I even had a follower (the cool one you get in Dawnguard), but she wasn't much help. Her attacks did virtually nothing, and she very quickly was at the point where a single hit made her take a knee. Facing him head-on was insta-death, so I was reduced to ice-forming him, hitting him a couple of times while he got up, then retreating and falling back on destruction magic to keep him from healing the meager damage I had just done. Took forever.

Soul gems. They're the only thing in Skyrim that has killed me multiple times.

I would've said the dragon priests, but the Falmer actually gave me the most trouble. There were several times where I just got utterly overwhelmed by them and their charus pets. Now I just sneak-attack crossbow them rather than sword fight them.

The last enemy to kill me was a briarheart, and i guess its just because i didn't expect it, was doing an assassin character and i got killed at half health with a power attack.

High level mages are also really hard without the atronach stone, with it i rarely ever notice them hurting me
