Heavy versus light??? they're both great in their own ways. Dragon armour svcks. ugly and useless for heavy. somewhat meh for light.

Daedric is so completely OTT ... They could have tried for more realism/practicality with a lot of armours.

Nightingale, but I prefer the Shrouded hood to the Nightingale Helmet.

Definitely Nightingale. It, steel plate and elven armor are my favourites. I kinda like the daedric helmet and gauntlets, but the armor itself is just too much for me. Can't deal with the asymmetry.

Well, .... they're both extremely silly.

But Nightingale is also supposed to be stealthy.

You can't be stealthy in a clown costume, even if it is an all black clown costume.

So Daedric wins.

I really don't like the overly fancy armors.
I use plain ol' Steel Plate for my heavy character because it's the last decent looking one.

Every tier above Steel Plate looks like some kind of abstract art piece.
I try to keep it up with smithing upgrades, but oh well.

You don't want to have max damage reduction anyway. Challenge is nice.

Daedric, although I prefer lighter, simpler looking armor and wouldn't wear it on my usual stealthy mage character. It just has a certain malevolent look to it. Nightingale just doesn't do much for me, not a fan of the tights look.

Nightingale. It looks even better on females... kinda sporting the "Tali" look.

I'm not fond of the spiky fantasy look in general, really. But the Nightingale is the better of the two.

Both ugly. Pretty much all the armor in the game is overly ornate, gaudy and nonsensical. Weapons, unfortunately, are the same.

For my tastes anyway.

Leather and the brown Thieves Armor is probably the most decent. Some bits of the scale set are ok. For heavy the Iron and Steel are nice, everything else looks like a baroque sculpture.

I've always thought this modded set looked worse than the original. Looks like it's made of kevlar or something, kind of out of place for TES.
This looks better to me, for example: http://static.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/images/313-1-1321495526.png

Nightingale. Daedric looks like it belongs to a super villain from Power Rangers.

I agree. So far my favorite is the Alik'r Hood.

With mods, Nightengale. Other than that, most of the armor doesn't look that great minus steel.
