I've got a quick question - in the UltraLux doing Beyond the Beef, how the blazes do you get away with walking the kid past after Mortimer gives his speech? I've switched the food, sat there and listened to his speech and when he stops yapping I try to walk in the with kid to get him in trouble and they all come running at me canes swinging! I've tried it on two different playthroughs and just can't figure it out!

Waiting for the speech to end worked for me. Did you make the White Glove Society actively hostile to you with any prior actions?

Nope, and I had to reload a couple of times before I switched Boone to passive mode. he apparently doesn't like annoying waiters... :laugh:

So if you don't mind telling me, what's the outcome of playing it that way?

Did you make the fake "strange meat" pie and have the waiter come for it? I waited until the speech was over then walked out with the kid. After a short conversation with him he ran off (I did have the option to attack). I then walked over to Marjorie and she was sad that Mortimer had spoiled the dinner but relieved that his scheme had been foiled....then my rep with them shot up to "Idolized". Ended up joining once my rep on the strip got high enough.

I had the same problem with this quest

I was standing right at the door to the kitchen. After the speech was over, everyone suddenly turned hostile.

Do I have to talk to the kid before talikng to Marjorie?

Just stay hidden until the speech is over, then run out and talk to Mortimer, when the dialogue is done everyone will become friendly again.

If you go the member area without a permission they are all hostile, either get that first or just disguise as a member of white glove.
