Whiterun and Edoras

Anyone else think Whiterun was inspired by Edoras (From Lord Of The Rings)?

layout is similar, similar architecture, and similar surroundings...

Yes, it's been discussed many times in this forum.

It's kind of a blatant rip-off if you ask me, first time i saw a screenshot for whiterun i was like, really? you're gonna make it that obvious you're blatantly copying LOTR Bethesda?

Everything from the surrounding plains enviroment to the city was copied and pasted from LOTR into skyrim.

I wouldn't say the copied but it was definitely LOTR-inspired.

More than just inspired, to me it looks EXACTLY the same.

Just compare pictures of Whiterun and Edoras and it's pretty clear that Whiterun is a carbon copy of Erodas.

It wasn't a blatant rip-off, there is a difference between a city being inspired by something and a blatant rip-off.
