Woot! and I'm guessing the Dunmer mercenary looks more the ranger thief type, so it appears they have all the bases covered (warrior/mage/thief). Can't wait to use them!
You can get a Reilking by siding with them in Thrisk Mead Hall, do the three quest and they will follow you. Also they are seen as a pet so you can have them and a follower with you.
the mercenary is dressed in full chitin, and this could be me.. but he kinda looks like some1 from a desert planet in star wars....I'm a bit dissapointed that the followers are like regular skyrim. I was really hoping for followers more in line with the ones of Fallout New-Vegas
The Dunmer from the Retching Netch =) he's a spell sword and has conjure flame atronach, flames, firebolt and some sort of ward. he can use a staff if you give one to him and prefers it for ranged attacks over his default elven bow. Another Dunmer, at the telvani tower, the apprentice, he can follow you after you help him out when he summons a creature by accident.
And Frea is a warrior shaman, fights with dual weapons and I've seen her use an array of destruction spells.
Looks like Skaal tolerate magic than most Nords.
Judging by how I have not seen them trying to kick the Dunmer off of Solstheim I would have to say their attitude towards elves seems to be better than most Nords too.

Not as simple as that, though they would fall mostly within one of the categories. The Dunmer mercenary is a spellsword of some kind(one-handed, destruction, conjuration and light armor) and the Skaal "Warrior" is a Shaman(appears to just be a warrior + alteration, but still). Of course, the Shaman falls more into the warrior aspect of it.
