so who are you married to (any marriage stories?)

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 9:19 pm

well for the first time today i got married! :celebration:

...on skyrim ofcourse hehe

and what better woman to choose than the lovely camilla valerius!
suprisingly, i found the whole process pretty straight forward but who am i to judge?

before getting married i wanted to see the list of women i can marry on skyrim but i was specifically looking for women in solitude but alas, there were only two; one is a housecarl and the other is that ugly high elf :nope:

and then i remembered about camilla way back when i first started out! went there, she digged my necklace swag "chicks digg necklace swag" and we got hooked up!

so here's where my story began!

i decided to fast travel to riverwood to go to her house and then it happened. A dragon had swooped down and terrorized the whole little village. grabbing my bow, i shot as many arrows as i could at it and eventually it was on 1 quarter health. finally the dragon landed on the ground at a distance away so it was time to slay the beast.

while i was making my way to the dragon i could make out a woman up ahead attacking the dragon and out of all people it was camilla! i started panicking because she was just using an iron dagger, so i sprinted over and got out my great sword to eventually kill the dragon, by then camilla was on the floor nearly dead and by god i genuinly thought i would lose her! close call!

so who have you guys married and do any of you have a similar story? please share! :)

I married Hroki, a beautiful blonde who worked in a tavern in Markarth (not anymore). She's the best looking girl I could find. Also has a sweet voice and a very nice dress. She's not normally available for marriage so I used console commands to have my way with her. We live in Breezehome for now. I just bought a very spacious duplex in Windhelm. After I finish cleaning up the place and fully decorate it, Hroki and I will be moving in there. In the future I may give her some sixy new things to wear and I may make her a follower if I can find out how. Camilla Valerius is a fine lady and was one of my top choices. I had a trial marriage with Sylgja, but changed my mind because she wasn't nearly as good as I thought she was originally. I'm happy with Hroki.

Ysolda, because she is hot, it's easy to fulfull her quest early on, and the 15% leveling bonus cannot be overlooked.

Oh you were also probably looking for a roleplay reasons.
As a merchant in training, I would expect her to have higher acumen at running the home shop.

My female Khajitt married Camilla after returning the golden claw to her and her brother. She speaks of it to this day infact while residing in my breezehome. I had a panic attack as well during a later quest that brought whiterun under an attack. I swore if she died I'd kill everyone. Lucky she locked herself away in the house and wouldn't even let me in haha.

My female Nord married Aela the Huntress after the companion story line. Both were hard core nords who loved to fight and the great out doors. Seemed only fitting. Aela is the perfect wife. She always makes my nord a warm meal, hunts by her side, kills with her in battle, sells/buys her stuff, trains her in the use of bows and has jobs for her that seem to never end haha.

My female Orc#1 married Ghorbash the Iron Hand Orc from one of the strongholds. They met when my orc came across the stronghold and challenged his chef to a fist fight. After a sound beating of the chef, he approached her with wistful thoughts of leaving the stronghold and adventuring as she did, seeing the world as she did. She convinced him to follow her and they happilly wed shortly afterwards. The priests in the temple of mara got scared though when 10 strong orcs showed up in heavy armor demanding a wedding ceremony.

My female Orc #2 married Ysolda of Whiterun after meeting her in the nearby tavern one night. They talked of adventure and mammoth tusks. Mostly about tusks. Thinking there was something else going on my orc agreed to bring her a tusk. One wasn't to hard to find (or steal) and upon her return with one, Ysolda confessed her love for the orc and the two became married. That tusk now rests on a shelf in their bedroom.

My female Orc #3 had no intentions of marriage until she came across Shor Stone and a cute injured miner girl named Sylgia. She had reciently hurt herself in the mine and had many undelivered letters to her folks. My Orc took pity on her and delivered the mail and even brought back supplies from her parents. It was late when she arrived back and Sylgia was so thankful that she invited the orc to spend the evening. Thats all it took to crack the ice around Orc's heart and two were married as soon after. When my orc bought a home in Riftin, Sylgia moved there way from the dangers of the mine and now runs a modest shop.

Styx, my female wood elf archer, also married Camilla.

After surviving a dragon attack in Helgen, Styx arrived in Riverwood and bumped into Faendael, who had a thing for Camilla. Anyway, Styx helped Faendael, her fellow Bosmer, out by delivering a letter and in return, F went adventuring with Styx for a bit a while.

Styx and F came across a small house that they thought they'd "investigate", and they stumbled into a secret bandit lair. In a fight with a bandit, F raced in whilst Styx stayed back, and F was killed by an ill placed arrow by Styx.

Styx cleared the bandit lair in her grief and anger (at the bandits and herself for causing F's death) before going back to Riverwood to break the news of F's death to Camilla. In F's honor, Styx vowed to protect Camilla and married her, more in a sense of duty than love.

They live together now in Styx's home in Whiterun, along with Styx's Housecarl, Lydia. Styx is actually in love with Lydia, but can never do anything about it due to her marriage to Camilla, and so Styx tries to stay out of the house as much as possible by adventuring and exploring, and takes out her pent up anguish on anything that crosses her path, from mudcrabs to Dragon Gods bent on destroying the world.

My female Breton mage Circea married Lydia.
It wasn't love at first sight, but throughout our travels and protecting each other during the main quest,
they gradually got closer and well, Lydia is willing to carry Circea's burdens till death do they part

My dark elf Assassin/Thief Illucia is a different case tho, she's an antisocial, angry, evil, psychotic cannibal bit*h.
She may find someone in the future, but right now, she'd much rather be slitting throats and shooting people in the knee before she eats them for supper.

Jelissa fell in love with Vilkas almost at first sight. Unfortunately, he wasn't interested at all and just seemed to think that she was annoying. Eventually, as he got to know her better, he liked her more and more and finally had to admit that he was attracted to her (this was about the time she became Harbinger). Then followed a period of misunderstanding, when Jelissa still thought Vilkas wasn't interested, and he somehow had got the notion that she already was married. Finally, after curing them both from lycantrophy, she decided that it was now or never, put on her amulet of Mara and proposed to him there in Ysgramor's tomb.
And they have been happily married ever since (well, apart from that time they had an argument that ended with her using the wabbajack to turn him into a chicken, but that's another story...).

My other characters are yet unmarried, and I'm not sure they will be. Aurora just lost her husband and children, and Sigyn has a soft spot for Ulfric Stormcloak...

(btw: there seem to be lots of gay women in Skyrim by the look of this thread, for instance. Now where are the gay men, I wonder? If I do a male character, I suspect he might be gay. Just because. ;))

My dunmer dude married Aela. She was too much of a stone fox to resist. Ysolda, Lydia, Jorlis are hawt too, as well as the non marriageable Saadia, Hroki and Karita. But Aela brings the added advantage of being a follower who can dish out the punishment like perhaps no other.

You can use the console to marry anyone you want?

I never even knew that!

This is awesome!
