I guess I looked up to him. He did stomp on all the Goombas and those turtle guys and collect many coins... oh and I think he rescued the princess.

I've always been way too mercurial to have a role model. Never really looked up to anyone as a kid. I just played Lego and video games.

I defiantly looked up to anyone society hated because I'm a rebel who defies society :P

I know, that was mean. :(

anywho, I looked up to my grandfather. Everyone says I'm almost exactly like him in personality. He was a WWII vet and was a part of the secret mission by the US military to see if Nazi Concentration camps actually existed. (I forgot the name of it) It was a discovery that haunted him to his grave :(

I barely knew my grandfather since he died before I was even 12 years old, but from the stories I've been told of him he was a very moral, witty and honest man and that my mom thinks I'm somehow channeling him because of how eerily similar I apprently am to him. I use him as an example of what kind of a person I want to be.

John Williams, and then later Michael Giacchino (much better composer, IMO).

A combination of Link from Zelda, Isaac from Golden Sun (even though he is mute for the most part), and Batman.

I am going to be a mute guy that runs around throwing rocks at clowns in the future.

From Kingdom Hearts or Digimon?

Heh. I'd forgotten that Digimon had a Sora. But yeah, as five 5 year old me spent a ton of time doing his best to emulate Sora, even asking his mother to do his hair up in that fashion.

I actually STILL look up to her. I'll let you figure out who that is.

Hint: She's dead, was 38 and has a 'sister'.

The same pretty much, but replace "mercurial" with "chronically surly."

My grandfather I suppose. He was a good guy. Honest, hard worker and loyal to family.
He wasnt perfect, but I still admire/respect him, and if I turned out like him. I would be happy.

Not really looking up to him (its more "what not to be like"), but my father has had a pretty big impact on my views.

I never really had a role model growing up, but these days I admire my grandpa quite a bit. He was tough, a very hard worker and was just about the nicest, funniest person you'd ever meet. Unfortunately, he passed away when I was still young so I only have so many memories and stories from my mom to go by, but that doesn't make me feel any differently about him.

My great great uncle or something wrote Ferdinand the Bull. My aunt told me about it a couple years ago and I hadn't even heard of the book until then.

EDIT: OH! The thread title says "Who did you look up" (like Google) and the thread's about "Who did you look up to"...

Um...I'll get back to you on that on.

I don't remember ever looking up to anyone as a kid other than in the obvious literal sense.
