Who else would have preferred oblivion now and skyrim then?

Post » Wed Jan 23, 2013 4:32 am

Now forgetting the storyline of course who else would trade Skyrim's place with oblivion's? I would have much preferred to have seen how stunning oblivion could have been with the skyrim graphics. Also the Imperial city would have been spectacular.

I would.. I liked Oblivion more but I probably wouldn't be happy if they decided to remake Oblivion with Skyrim's engine.. Which are very similar..

The Imperial City would have been the same size no matter which game was released first. I'm fine with the order in which the games were released.

I don't think swapping them would change my opinion on either game. I prefer to judge a games art style and visual aesthetic over graphical fidelity. I find Oblivion's art style to be bland and generic, and better graphics won't change that.

The only graphical features I'd like to see added in Oblivion would be less of the creepy-immersion-breaking-fixed eye-contact character interaction and better animation.

No way would I want to do dragon fights in Oblivion's render engine. I'm perfectly happy with the order as it is now.

However, Ask me if I feel the same about Morrowind, and my answer changes slightly, as I'd love to see Morrowind in the new engine. Vivec alone would be interesting, to say the least. The ghost wall, Deadric Temples, blight storms, mobile silt striders.. Yeah. That's what I'm talking about,.

oblivion was my first elder scrolls game. At the time it was my favorite game. Since skyrim, I'd would loved to see the combat , smithing, magic and graphics in oblivion. Have to say though, the one thing I was really looking forward too in skyrim from oblivion was the arena.

Using the new combat mechanics in the arena, now that would be cool.

Skyrim is built on the same engine as Oblivion. It's also the same engine they used for Morrowind.

Well, IMO, Oblivion dominated Skyrim in most aspects, so yes, having it the other way around would have probably been better.

Oblivion is good...but it's very...bright...I'm a vampire in there(GOTY version is bugged and I'm stuck being a vampire for eternity,),

Oblivion gameplay is awesome, and combined with skyrim's graphics it would be nice.

But Skooma in Skyrim is better,oh yeah,Skooma.

You shouldn't trade places. Otherwise. Oblivion would just have had "Go to this Dungeon quest" But I would like to see another Cyrodil with better graphics/ Skyrim Graphics

Swapping games like these would just lead us to the destruction of all life.

I like Skyrim, I've been getting hooked on Oblivion lately. The first thing I've notice is how much better the exploration is opposed to Skyrim's.

Cyrodiil with Skyrim's graphics. Oh lord, that would be the most beautiful thing ever. Imagine the White-Gold Tower would look like.

same. I prefer everything in oblivion except for graphics and combat because hey, it is a 2006 game. Or maybe bethesda can recreate cyrodiil 200 years after oblivion and we all get to see how beautiful kvatch or how wretched the imperial palace is.
