I was surprised there was no discussion about the PS4 launch. I consider myself pretty impartial and sometimes hard to impress. Despite that I picked one up and I’m quite satisfied with my purchase. I’ve always been a console gamer and have owned all three systems (PS3, 360, Wii) at one point this past generation. Right now I own a 360 along with my PS4. My first impression was the controller. It’s quite impressive compared to the old dual shock 3. I’m not sure how to explain it but it just feels right to hold in your hands. It’s similar to the 360 controller in that it feels like its molded to fit in human hands, unlike he DS3 which always felt awkward. Oh and I love that I can plug any headphones into the controller for game audio. While the quality isn’t as good as a dedicated headset, it saved me $100 - $200 from buying a headset due to my new addition to the family, a sleeping baby. The only game I picked up is Battlefield 4. While that game still has online issues, like Conquest mode not working, overall it’s a really good game on the PS4. Since I’m not a PC player, the better graphics, increased player counts, and 60FPS put this game over the top when you are not used to these luxuries as a console gamer. Overall I really like this console and I’m excited about the future games coming out. Now I just need Fallout 4 or TES VI from Bethesda. Anyone else out there pick one up and have any impressions to share?

Getting mine probably around 6pm via UPS... Not sure what to look for as far as defects go. Probably won't open it until all of the drywall dust is cleaned up.

I love it. Only problem is that the first party titles aren't interesting to me and all third party titles are also on the PS3.

But yes. Its fast, love how you can go the main menu by pressing the PS button during a game.

My only issue with the PS4 is the lack of interesting games.

I'm not getting any new consoles until I know they have something interesting on them... That and I need to get a pretty dang new and powerful computer first for my career wishes.

Could have got one, but decided against it. I don't need a $400 paper weight since it's been close to 1 year, maybe 2, since I've touched my PS3 and Wii.

I didn't get it but I my friend did and the games, even though limited, look and feel great. Played Ghosts (not a big CoD fan, but I have enjoyed the new setup in this), Killzone (ridiculous) and a couple others.

Lightning fast is this system. Flip between games is amazing and there are very short loading times and no loading screens. I was shocked.

Considering I still have PS2 games that I have not played, 360 games that I have not played, can't count how many PC games I have yet to play, there is no rush to get the PS4.

I have one in layaway that I'll get out next week, the game I got for it is Call of Duty: Ghost, I might get one more when I get it.

I got one, but it isn't yere yet. Waiting for it to arrive. Should be roughly any day now. Not really waiting around though, i got lots of [censored] to do still.
