Who's prepared for Lonesome Road

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 7:39 am

today I finished my preparations for lonesome road I started a Mr. House game because that seemed the most neutral path and I don't want to pick my "canon" path until after i meet Ulysses I played through all the side quests I wanted to, did all 3 dlcs, and did the mq up to when I need to report to mr. house to start the battle of hoover dam. I gathered my best weapons and armor and got them repaired to 100% then I stocked up on ammo and stimpacks now I'm sitting on my coach in the sink waiting to be contacted by Ulysses.

5k Purified water is gonna weigh you down, prepare to die.

I will be extra prepared as in OWB I came with about 100 stimpacks a brush gun, survivaliss rifle, ALSiD. Ranger Sequoia, silenced sniper rifle, and Q-35 Matter Modulator, and I still found it pretty difficult.

What would you possibly need 5000 bottles of purified water for, if you've stocked up enough sniping ammo to wipe out the wastes three times over, and probably from a nice safe distance away?

All I need to do is make a few quick trips to the Gun Runners, Crimson Caravan Company, Novac, Hoover Dam, and Mojave Outpost for ammo and supplies, then head back to the Follower's safehouse for my weapons and armor and I'm set!

Going through with my very first play through character.. so .. yeah , all prepared. She just waits around for DLC's as she's done everything there is to do up to hoover damn.
I'm extremely looking forward to getting this last DLC and the two mini downloadables that are coming up so I can start a brand new character and go through everything with everything. I plan on doing all the dlc's before starting anything in the main story.
In F3 if you do all Dlc's before main story you come out about level 26.. I kind of want to see how many levels just the dlc's take you up to in FNV.

I have a long way to go. I MIGHT be ready by the time GRA is released. Considering I'm playing a DID char, I might not be ready then.

I'm prepared... in spirit! Finished my final main quest play through last week and I have just started on the DLC. Completed Dead Money today (what a let down), will start Honest Hearts soon after (heard its rather short), and Old World Blues as soon as possible after that (seems to be the big CHEESE). Lonesome Road has me really excited though, as the DLC appear to get better from the user response I've seen.

However, given the "load outs" I'm seeing presented here, I am curious as to how many people actually play the game in hardcoe mode? Having so 1K purified waters and tons of ammo for one gun would weigh you down in HC mode and I just wanted to get a feel for how many players actually stick to it. I played in HC for about 90 hours until I got to the vault of the Sierra Madre – then I took it off to GET DAT GOLD. Changing the integrity of my play style was immediately strange as I had been managing ammo levels for so long and then they just disappeared with my lust for gold. I've switched it back after I did my equipment transfers from the bunker to my safe house. Strangely I feel like I'd be cheating myself if I were to turn it off so late in the game.

Anyone else feel this way?

Not quite yet I've got to finish up OWB and finalize my loadout but it shouldn't take me too long to finish that up and the dlc isn't out untill tuesday so I've got plenty of time.

I'm ready, got my ammo stockpiled up, my weapons and armor fully prepared, enough stimpacks on me that I could probably live forever if I used all of them at once, just waiting for Ulysses to give me the word.
