Who still plays Fallout 1 & 2?

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 5:21 am

Hey there! I joined the site a few minutes ago, I have a question for anyone out there: Are you still playing the good Fallout's? (not that Fallout Tactics, BoS, 3 and NV are bad) I'm actually getting Fallout 1 tomorrow on GOG (Good Old Games) Can't Wait!

Yes, I still play Fallout 1 & 2 and Tactics.

Owned & played the more recent ones (I am a Fallout fan :) ) but I can't say that they will be doing much more than gathering shelf dust in the future.

If I was a console kind of guy, I would own the other Fallout Game too.

I would, except that the newest version of Windows won’t allow me to. Keeps crashing.
God I love FALLOUT.
BTW- I played FOT and loved it, too. It’s not the same, but I do love it. Learn a habit, it’s not wise to upset a mutie.
But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a Human.
That’s ‘cause Humans don’t eat people when they get irritable. Mutie’s are known to do that.

Theres a Guy who has made a Fallout 2 Rennovation - not sure if its been posted before.
He needs some recognition for adding to an allready amazing game.
Have a look for Fallout 2 RP.
I hope gamesas have seen his work.

ha, I just finish Fallout 1 yesterday, now I'm playing Fallout 2. This should be the twentieth times, I didn't count. I also played Fallout 3 on Xbox360, but Fallout 1&2 is far better than Fallout 3. And that is my opinion.

The restoration project - by Killap...I was the dude who reworked the maps and built most of the new art (which I'm happy to say is based on the wonderful original artwork). It has over 100,000+ downloads, so I recommend all those people curious about Fallout 2, go buy a copy and install the RP.

I am curious if Chris and other original BIS employees have had a chance to play it yet. :?:

I hope I'm not breaking any gamesas rules, but the way I see it this mod is helping to keep Fallout 2 alive and kicking. ;)

I love fallout 2, it is unparalleled in storytelling.

I love the random encounters. I play with Killap's mod installed so I can get the holy hand grenade. It adds but not subtracts in my opinion.

While I played the original game multiple times, having extra missions and places only makes the game better.

The game is unmatched because the creators knew that some of the subject matter was ridiculous. And they treated it as such. The random encounter where you find the tin man made me smile broadly. Not to mention the many references to books and movies.

Not taking it seriously is why i keep coming back to the game and play as a stupid character (intelligence lower than 4). I never beat it as a stupid character but I laugh and have a great time.

But it is still difficult, as I have only beaten the game three times.

I will never play a better game.

Just a couple weeks ago I was the happy recipient of a brand new lap, one of the first things I did was to install Fallout 1 and mod it with hi-def patch in order to run it :D I have played every version of fallout ever made and enjoy 2 and 3 the most, I am about to beat the first again and then plan to begin the second one over also, I think the second fallout had a wider expanse of play ability, I also liked certain aspects of 3 over new vegas

I still play Fallout 1 & 2, and still amuses me! For me, the developers should make another Fallout, but as 1 & 2 above is see ... I think they owe it to fans who want something more of the same, but better ;)

I played fallout 2 a few days ago but gost stuck with jet addiction and snitched Dr Troy to Lynetter so this game is pretty much busted.....solutions?

And i am trying to play fallout tactics with tough guy on, insane difficulty:) Tried to finish the first mission about 30 times(20 times before i figured out how to kill the 3rd guard with the colt). And any other good custom campaigns?

I have been playing Fallout and Fallout 2 since I got my box 4 years ago now and I have been enjoying it except for the graphical glitch otherwise I might as well get the GOG.com version.
