Are you using the fix: Yes.
Windows 7/Video card: Windows Vista / NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS (x2)
Increased performance: Yes.
Image Quality Issues: No.

Why the hell wasn't I using this before reading this thread!? :brokencomputer: :banghead:
Thanks to the OP for the links, way better frames around groups of NPCs now! :user: :woot:

It was pain to play the game without the fix. I have GTX 260. Whenever some NPCs appeared on my sight my FPS dropped so low it became unplayable. With the fix everything is smooth and I'm able to run the game on max settings without any significant FPS drops. Using Win 7.

Had to add explain in this here box:

I have the NPC slowdowns but they are very minor. I tried the fix but what it did was trigger the dreaded micro-stuttering.

Fix unfixed.

Box:
q6600
twin Ati 3850
SDRam
Vista 64

Haaa, the tweakguides guy is trying so hard to ignore the .dll fix, he copied the information in my thread http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1134379-d3d9dll-and-why-it-works/. and is trying to spin it into his ,obviously better, temo+tweaking fix which does nothing to rectify the issue in question.
