So who's waiting for the patch to play again?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 10:21 pm

I was thoroughly enjoying this game despite minor glitches here and there and then I got a thieves guild bug which prevented me from continuing with that storyline and getting the Dampened Spirits questline

I played on for a bit doing dungeons quests and micellaneous stuff, but I feel im gonna stop and pick it up when the patch comes out I have been playing for 100 hours and still haven't been to Solitiude, Dawnstar, Winerhold or Markarth yet. I also dont wanna unlock a load more quests until Ive finished the thieves storyline and im not sure I just want to do miscellaneous stuff

who else has stopped and who else is still playing?

I've been playing less, but still poking at the Legion/Rebellion plot line. I can't continue on the main quest with my main character as 'A Cornered Rat' has glitched itself out of my journal, meaning I can't actually do or complete the mission =[

I have stopped too, well more or less. I have about 60 odd hour's with 81 location's discovered/explored and 4 cities visited so far, this last week mainly just playing 1-2 hour's (or not at all) doing a Misc. Quest or a few.

I have only stopped playing as i dont want to start any other named quest's and try to bypass a bug but mainly waiting for the texture bug fix :) even then i actually dont have any complaint's whatsoever as im happy to wait for the patch.

I won't be playing now until patch comes out. I'm 120 hours in and now have side-quests and main so blocked by bugs and the constant irritation of the texture problem I can't really continue, unless I spend most of my playing time hunting for un-glitched stuff - most of the last few hours were spent searching around for things that I could do through to completetion. So I'm parking the game, till the issues get sorted.

The amount of hour's i have spent pimping/organizing my home's in Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV was more or less a lot :P hopefully the problem's with display rack's etc and item-explosions are fixed soon :)

Good idea. I always mean to just sit and read the books. May give it a whirl now!.

Wel I didn't have more than a couple for the first 70ish hrs (except the texture problem) but they just increased for me..... (only had two crashes)

I've only had the one, so far.
Sadly it's one that stopped me getting a plot mission, meaning I'm stuck without the main quest. Which I was just finished gearing up for =[ kinda sapped my will a bit there. Other than that one, I've had nothing out of the mostly ordinary (i.e. normal slightly glitchy dead models, etc)

I'm still playing, though I am pissed because my First Lessons quest is bugged (when I cast the ward spell at the end, Tolfdir does nothing. I've tried shouting at him and hitting him and nothing works!); my character is focused on one-handed and destruction so the fact that I can't get any spells beyond ice spike/firebolt/lightning bolt svcks. Thankfully the game is so huge that I've just been doing other quests and I'm hoping that this'll be fixed when the patch comes out... if not, I'll probably start a new character.

I'll see what the patch fixes, but if it doesn't do anything i will probably just trade in and pirate it on PC for when i want to just have something to screw around in with mods.

If it doesn't fix the quests that are bugged for me I will be forced to start over.

Yup, since I can't do the Legion quests I've kinda just stopped for now. Hope the patch fixes these problems.

At 70+ hours I've been pretty lucky thus far, no quest-related bugs at all (had the texture bug, but uninstalled and been fine since). However, the main quest has me pointed toward Riften, which I gather is where the thieves' guild is, and I'm hearing a lot about bugs in those quests. I've been looking forward to that the most, so I may lay off the game until the patch so I can get through it (assuming those quests get fixed).

I've played barely an hour of Skyrim and had to stop playing. The texture bug is horrendous, I feel like I'm back in 1997 playing GoldenEye on the N64, which probably looks better actually. The last time I played was release day and don't plan too till the patch comes out. If it doesn't fix the texture bug I'm returning the game.

I haven't stopped but since my main aim is always to become the greatest thief in the land... obviously I'm kinda holding off on going to Riften.
Likewise any questline I've read about being bugged.

I'm not to worried about it, the patch should ideally be here in a matter of days and I'm happy enough to be picking up bounties and doing quests that I know (or rather hope) are safe.
I'll easily put in a few hours tonight just working on crafting etc.

The texture thing doesn't bother me. I still play ps1 games, I don't care about pretty graphics. I do care about broken quests though so I'm hoping Blood on the Ice gets a fix. I'm still playing, just pottering about with misc quests while waiting for the patch before I play properly again

Yup, I am waiting for the patch before I go back into Skyrim. I was enjoying the game, but was exceptionally annoyed to find a quest (Forbidden Legend) I spent ages on glitched out, not allowing me to progress. I hope the patch fixes it, otherwise this will be traded in.

Ditto on waiting here too.

While texture streaming glitch is annoying its the nigh daily freezing thats getting on my nerves so I'll just play Dark Souls until the patch goes online. Really bummed too because apart from technical problems the game is utterly amazing.
