Why are tall characters short in first person? #2

ORIGINAL THREAD: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1317866-why-is-my-altmer-shorter-than-everyone-in-first-person/page__st__180

It's time to go back folks. Back to the reason I originally joined this forum. I told you I wouldn't rest until this was fixed, and I meant it! The original thread finally reached its post limit today, so I figured I'd reignite it to spread awareness on this annoying issue. Here's the original post:

This is my first post here, so I apologize if there are similar topics to this one or if I'm just not doing something right.

Well I decided to make a high elf for the first time since my first playthrough of oblivion. I remember as a kid, the thing I liked most about the altmer was how strangely tall they were. I loved towering over everyone like some high and mighty mystical being. So you can imagine my surprise, confusion, and dissapointment when I walk up to Hadvar to get my hands unbound, and discover that I'm at eye level with him. I go out to third persom mode, and discover that I should be, quite literally, a head taller than him. Zooming back to first person, I notice that the camera goes straight into my chest.....apperently I have a second set of eyes down there.

Now, I know this isn't a very big deal to some, but for someome who literally grew up on this series, and a self-proclaimed roleplaying geek, things like this break the immersion and in many ways my fun. Not only because I like the symbolism of how altmer LITERALLY look down on people but also because being forced to look through invisible eyes in my chest makes absolutely no sense. While this obviously isn't Bethesda's top priotity right now, nor should it be, I wanted to make sure this came to their attention, so that hopefully they don't ignore this oversight forever

What about you guys? Have you noticed this? Does it happen to other races? Would you like this to be fixed?

Technically speaking it's caused by all races sharing the same first-person skeleton, resulting in all of them having the "eyes" at the same level. Whether that is an oversight or limitation of the game is anyone's guess (Skyrim uses a different system for this from the old games), but it means it's most likely something that is not viable, or even possible to change in a patch.

There is a quick simple mod that fixes this. Why cant bethesda do the same? I know it's not a priority but why not eventually? It's a shame, especially since this was never a problem in an elder scrolls game.
