Why is it bad to be a "milk drinker"?

Can someone explain to me why people call me a milk drinker? And why it's an insult?

It could also mean somebody who can't stand "stronger" drinks.

Edited homonyms to avoid confusion.

Na. My son called my daughter a milk drinker. I dont think he'd use it in that context, but I'm sure a nord would call someone a milkdrinker (baby) if they couldn't handle a swig or two.

I don't consider it an insult because I've noticed something: these idiots telling me I'm a milk drinker usually wind up dead. I had the greatest fun watching an Orc call me a milk drinker moments before a saber cat took it out. I laughed. If the dude wasn't suffering from a hangover, I'm sure the saber cat would have lost.

As a milk drinker, taking out that cat was easy. :D

I don't understand it.
Milk drinkers have stronger bones and are healthier, these non milk drinkers will be brittle and easy to dispatch of.

For some reason I thought way too much into it and thought back to the agricultural revolution. I thought that they were calling me someone who was too weak and lazy to hunt for my food, and instead would own a farm so I can grow crops and raise cows.

I was wrong.

Actually before a couple of decades ago where the negative effects of high alcohol consumption were fully realize, yeah, it was considered manly by many to drink heavily. Think about how many people used to smoke compared to nowadays.

Some historical context: Just a few centuries ago it was very unusual for the common man (=peasants) to drink milk. Milk was primarily used to make cheese and other more durable products. Fresh milk was reserved for the old and the sick.

It'd surprise you how much people still think the same nowadays. Personally, I prefer to drink what I like, and I detest most alcoholic beverages (curiously, except mead :) ).

In many early cultures, a child briast fed for much longer than they do nowadays. A child wouldn't be considered 'weaned' until he was about four, though it's debatable if kids ever actually fed that long, since by that age they often had multiple siblings. But a child who still needed his mommy might be considered a 'milk drinker' nonetheless.

In the days before refrigeration and the like, fermented drinks were the healthiest thing you could drink. Of course, we're talking about something more substantial than the piss that passes for beer today. It's a way to preserve grain or fruit, and alcohol is antiseptic, so there you go.

They're implying that you're soft, not a real man/woman. I'd say it's more of an insult for a man than it would be a woman, 'cause most men have a masculine ego to uphold.
