Why can we still not pick up lanterns? : V

Why have then again chosen to not allow players to pick up lit lanterns?
Surely in this day and age it's not a massive technical feat to have this feature. You could do it in Morrowind so why not here?

and i`m betting its a light issue on consoles,

I found a torch I could pick up. Haven't tried equipping it yet though.

I was also disappointed about this. You could do it in Morrowind, could you also do it in Oblivion? I can't remember. It would have been a nice little touch.

You can't even place them down as lit again either which is disappointing if like me you like to collect random crap and clutter up your house.

I've been able to pick up a couple of lanterns. Of course I cant find them in my inventory either.

Not that perfect, they set your body on fire while on horseback. It really bugs me when a previous version of a game had something right that then gets broken. How did no one test this?

I found a lantern in a bandit camp that I could pick up, but when I clicked it in my inventory it didn't do anything, I was hoping for another kind of torch :S

Nope, torches work so why wouldn't lanterns?

Might be that you only use one touch but might use many lanterns in and around your house.

First time i found a lantern i pick it up and i was like oh cool! and then i tried to equip it and i was like damn, i would like to see a mod or maybe dlc later on that let's you use lanterns it would be a cool little detail :thumbsup:
