Why Can I Use ONLY One Ring?

Post » Fri Sep 07, 2012 4:01 am

Our characters have 2 hands, so why can we use ONLY one ring at a time :( OR am I wrong?

If this IS correct..... Change for next Skyrim update?

Some speculate that more than one ring would be too much for the organic body to handle, but I would argue that a powerful mage would be able to withstand the input.

frankly the reason was so that all the vanilla enchantments could share value... if you could wear more than one ring they would have had to balance ring enchantments independent of all the rest.

Why not 10 rings? Or 20?

^this, i blame it on dual enchantments. two rings=four enchantments? sounds like it is something that could make enchanting even more OP

This made no sense to me, either, but I guess this:

would explain it.

Not to mention that the Bond of Matrimony, a wedding ring, is worn on the index finger instead of the aptly named ring finger. An odd way in which Nordic marriage traditions differ from our own, don'tcha think?

to be fair the way that rings and enchantments were handled points out to you that you are playing a game. imo that is an oversight of the developer that should be addressed somehow.

rings as apparel are very common in general. and the crafting system needs a serious overhaul anyway. i'll go into detail after i get the sleep from my eyes.

All the fingers and toes, then you can get your nipbles pierced and rock 22. Thats 44 seperate enchantments with fully perked enchantment just in rings. This game is tough, so I'm trying to clear 1000 health and pay no magicka to cast any spell, from any school.

You have three nipbles? Might want to get that looked at.

It was probably done for balance reasons. However, we have been able to wear more than one ring in prior games, and if they were Exquisite Rings, put the most powerful enchantment on them in the game bar one item (only the Daedric Tower Shield had more capacity for enchanting)
