Why can't you improve "Scaled Horn Armor"?

Title says it all folks. I don't get this.. you can improve regular Scaled (better with Perk). So why not the Horn Armor? Don't get it..

Same reason why you can't improve Skyforge steel dagger or the Worn Shrouded armour parts . Probably an oversight of the devs

I'd love to be able to improve the Ebony Blade. Best damn looking 2H sword in the game and it's next to useless on anything > lvl 20.

Scaled armor is advance armor in the Smith Tree, I think. You need to invest a perk. But someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Have you tried using the "Fortify Restoration" potion exploit to create an amulet which bumps up your archery skill by more than you can get normally? This is what I did for when I want to use the Ebony Blade. I have a ring that bumps 1H skill by 300%. Gives it a decent dps strength.

Fair enough. I sort of felt the same way, but considered it a "hotfix" rather than a cheat. :D

I hate it when people assume it's a cheat rather then quick skill booster.

As long as you can improve "normal" scale armour, you should be able to improve horned scale armour. I'm not even sure that we can create horned scaled armour.

Nah. You can't improve it. There are more than a few items, both unique and common, that cannot be improved. I'm really hoping this gets patched. Wuuthrad is garbage compared to my smithed stuff.

Ran into Scaled Horn Armour for the first time yesterday. This game just keeps throwing up new stuff. I'm satisfied. :D Don't know why we shouldn't be able to improve it, though.

I just thought... can you use some exploits to get a fortify enchanting potion that will give you a larger number, and then enchant your scaled horned armour with that, to give you the same result as smithing it. Say, light armour + 50, or whatever you like?

I thought the whole point of the blade was that you CAN improve it - but only by the in-game specified way. I take it that you are suggesting getting around the whole point of the weapon and the quest to get it?
