Why did a bandit ruin my wedding?

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 2:03 am

Ok... this makes no sense why this is happening.

Now that I have the HD texture pack I put my settings on ultra, then I loaded from an old save before my character's wedding, so I could see it in better quality.
Yet for some reason, now a bandit appears at the wedding and attacks the groom and ruins everything. The wedding worked fine before. What happened?
Does anyone know why a bandit would appear at a wedding?

Bandit #237 was probably your jilted lover, and when he heard you were getting married turned up at the wedding to kill the groom. Bandits are like that. ;)

Hilarious bug.Apparently, bandits are wedding crashers now.I don't see how texture packs could affect this though, this seems more like an issue with AI scripts than textures.

I had a forsworn fanatic show up and murder someone like when one enters a certain city in the southwest...

Needless to say, I was puzzled.

I held a second wedding over both corpses.

This has nothing to do with the texture pack.

No, it doesn't.

However, it may be caused by custom made mods.

Ok... I reloaded the wedding 3 more times, and got three different results. Very odd.

1st reload- the bandit was still there but he sat down as a guest and the wedding went fine.
2nd reload- the bandit attacked Malborn again
3rd reload- there were no guests at all, not even Lydia. Even my follower Cicero didn't come in. However the groom was there and the wedding worked fine.

Why'd you reload the second time, then? Do you have something against bandits attending weddings?

He's already PAST his wedding... the wedding save he just kept to relive that magic moment (which he wanted to do after the texture pack ;) )

This thread made me laugh. Other than that, I've got nothing to add.
