I did a little clicking around and found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oral_allergy_syndrome Oral allergy syndrome. Looks like it could possibly be that.
If you can eat the food cooked, it's probably not an allergy. You might just have a sensitive throat. Try chewing more? Hahah, sorry to sound like your mom.

Maybe or what ever is the problem is cooked/boiled out of the food, like carrots lose much of their vitamins the longer they're on. Don't speak with your mouth full!
Someone screwed up in your body's defensive systems and accidentally filed aforementioned foods in the "do not, DO NOT let in" category. Now your body will try to destroy these products whenever comes in contact.
Best options is to ask your doctor if you, really think its an issue persist with your doctor, you'd be suprised with what you think maybe be one simple problem isnt, so always worth getting all options looked at.
Maybe I'll bring it up next time. The thing is no one believes me.
I used to be able to eat bananas with out any issues...?
Allergies can develop at any age or time and for no apparent reason. I used to be fine with rabbits, had two and then one day I'd itchy eyes and hands.

Yes, they most likely have been with you since you were born but have now just mutated and gotten worse as a result. I'll look up more on it soon, but as far as I know once you have an allergy, you have it for life. Unless of course you find a cure for them all and make billions.
I have that problem from time to time when eating certain vegetables. So does my mom. I'm sure you can take some sort of OTC allergy medicine like Benadryl to help alleviate the itching, I usually just wait it out it goes away quite fast. But yeah it's most likely an allergy.
Though it could always be something more serious, I'd ask a doctor just to be sure.
