Why don't you guys band together and make your own game?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 6:37 am

It seems that many of these people on this forum are experts when it comes to making games, they know whats wrong and whats right, they know their ideas WILL be noticed by the game makers, and they seem to know everything about it, even though:

The game, has JUST been announced. There are about 4 screens.

That aside, i'm looking forward to this game. Its something new to the series. I just hope it has features which set it aside from many other mmos today.

Read the GI article and make up your own mind. A forum is a diverse place with lots of opinions. By saying your opinion in such a way your actually adding nothing useful. Just because someone says something you may or may not agree with does not make them wrong.

I respect they have opinions, but I dont respect their actual opinions, purely because theyre jumping to conclusions so rapidly even though we know next to nothing about the game.

How about we don't make up our minds after reading one article and seeing a few screenshots?

When I go to a restaurant, I don't have to be a professional chef to tell, in detail, how my food was cooked badly. Please refrain from making logical fallacies. If you are looking forward to this game, that's great. However, that doesn't mean people who disagree with you should not voice their opinion as well, or that said opinion is less valid than yours.

I'm sorry perhaps I should repeat myself.

It is my opinion. I'm sorry that you feel you must somehow control that. I've judged what I have seen so far, i'm a flexible person. If I see something special that changes my mind don't be suprised to see me singing this games praises. For now though? No, just no. I will continue to do my best to add constructive critisism towards this game. As an Elder Scrolls fan I feel I have a vested intrest in it.

Really? Where have I reached any conclusions about the game?

All I've said, ever, is that judging a game before you've even seen a live demo, much less played it, is silly.

Yeah, I agree. But you have to deal with these people on a discussion board. I do have some concerns though. The last time my favourite game series went online (Warcraft), the devs totally destroyed it's lore and didn't release another game for 9 years, but this won't be a problem with elder scrolls.

Which is in your opinion.

Remember a lot of people here are not keen on MMOs. The hotkey system alone is a worrying enough feature

Then you need to differentiate who you are talking about/to. Because you clearly stated the people who don't like this game should go make their own in your title, which includes everyone who thinks this is a bad idea.

Let me explain something to you: you don't need to see a finished product to understand that something will not fit your expectations. If I told you I was going to make you a cake out of old tires, would you still taste it, or would you tell me before I baked it that it was a bad idea?

The Elder Scrolls series has nothing in common with an MMO world. Nothing. In fact, it has been designed for more than two decades to NOT be a multiplayer game in any sense. Therefore, many game changes will have to be made in order for it to conform to a multiplayer format. That is a FACT that you cannot dispute. That FACT is why many people are disappointed. They don't need to wait for a demo to see that.

Actually, those are clearly opinions, as what you believe to be key features of the games is also your opinion. Also... didn't want to say this but you also are making logical fallacies. Just saying.

Elucidate please. The only logical fallacy you could possibly derive from that quote is the anology I utilized, which was exaggerrated for emphasis but the statement it was exemplifying is a fact.

Please don't make threads to complain about people complaining. We allow people to express their opinions both pro and con and if we allowed threads to complain about complainers soon enough we would have threads made by people to complain about the complainers complaining about complainers. :ahhh: :ahhh:
